I am here to tell you about my book I wrote about wolves called Howl of a Wolf. It is about two wolves who are called into the mountains by a mysterious howl in the night, and they find their destinies among another pack of wolves. Star is chosen to protect the pack from a horrible spirit monster that they angered long ago who takes a life every night on the new moon. Sky's destiny is to protect her. Little does Star know that she will need her brother more than she knows when she faces the monster that threatens the pack.
I was inspired to write this story when I saw a book at the library clled The Sight. It had the face of a white wolf with glinting copper eyes, and that inspired me to enter the world of wolves. Howl of a Wolf is a huge success, and I have a few good reviews of the story. I plan to have it published, and it may end up in your own hands someday.

A wolf-dog hybrid (also called a wolf hybrid or wolfdog) is a canid hybrid resulting from the mating of a wolf (Canis lupus lupus) and a dog (Canis lupus familiaris). The term "wolfdog" is preferred by most wolfdog proponents and breeders since the domestic dog was recently taxonomically recategorized as a subspecies of wolf. Professional organizations such as the American Veterinary Medical Association and government agencies such as the United States Department of Agriculture refer to the animals as wolf-dog hybrids. Rescue organizations consider any animal with wolf heritage within the last five generations to be a wolfdog, including some established wolfdog breeds.
In 1998, the USDA estimated an approximate population of 300,000 wolfdogs in the United States (the highest of any country world-wide), with some other sources giving a population possibly as high as 500,000. In first generation hybrids, gray wolves are most often crossed with wolf-like dogs (such as German Shepherd Dogs, Siberian Huskies, and Alaskan Malamutes) for an appearance most appealing to owners desiring to own an exotic pet. Sky and Meuki
|
If you have already read the article, Howl of a Wolf, then here is the sequel. The sequel takes place a few days after the great comfrontation at the end of Howl of a Wolf. Sky is the new leader of the wolves after he killed the other leader in a duel to the death for supremacy. He is learning how to take on this new position, and is strengthening his relationship with Meuki, the white wolf who captivates his heart. But spring has come, and every spring the caribou the wolevs live off of have moved to the lands up north to spend the summer. When the wolves set out on this same journey, Star and Sky end up being divided by new problems.
Star is called into caves behind the waterfall, and goes ona spiritual journey unlike anything she ever experienced. Meanwhile, Sky meets with another pack of wolves who treat him like royalty in their pack. Sky and Meuki knows there has to be a reason, and as they venture onward north the two wolves uncover the pack's hidden secrets.
