Web 2.0 for writers - cross post

Hey, I'm a writer my blog on wordpress is bjevanael.wordpress.com. I recently moved over to wordpress from Livejournal, and was disappointed by the lack of community stuff happening on WP, so I'm really happy to have found this spot. Social networking is really exciting.

I attended Book Expo Canada recently as a writer and sat in on a session on Web 2.0 and how it's affecting collaborative writing with writer's blogs and the people who read them. Interesting stuff, and a great opportunity for writers to be able to do a lot of their own publicity and marketing.

What are your thoughts on this new movement?
