I can't remember, so I always say as long as I can remember :P But yeah, the earliest I'm certain of is when I was around 7 or 8, I wrote short stories about kids in haunted castles and racism and a poem my dad still loves about a cat who bathes every day.

I haven't kept writing consistently, sometimes I write a LOT and sometimes I write nothing, but still, I think that's when it started and I haven't stopped since :)

Actually I believe you!I was 6 years old when I started writing but my stories weren't good enough-my mother anyway liked them!!!!I would probably had started writing younger if I knew how to write!!!!!!

I started writing them about a year ago. I'm 14 and I love it! It's a really good way to get rid of my emotions by putting them on paper. ^-^

I started writing when I was about 10. I've had a ton of ideas before that though. Well, actually before that. I remember writing stories during free-time in preschool

I've always been attracted to reading and one day I decided that I wanted to be one of the people who made people like reading as much as I did. I went through a lot of phases though before I began to actually "write", the first real memory of me attempting to write was probably seven or eight though.

I started making up stories when I was really little but I actually started writing them when I was 5 or 6 I guess I still have some and their were some crazy things in my head!I made my first real story (that made half-since) when I was about 8

I wrote a story about a camel when I was in like first grade, but I REALLY got serious about it in sixth grade. From then on i've written all kinds of stuff.

i started last year... now i always am making up stories and i have anotebook with a whole bunch of ideas for stories.

I think I started writing stories when I was 10 I watch shows and they gave me ideas how I could make them better.

I think I was fourteen, I tried writing a version of my life story, it was rubbish lol

when i was twelve.when i started writing sonic stories.in 7th grade, i got more creative and wrote more than just sonic stories.songs,jornal entries,and even drawing

i started writing about a year ago.but it was only to put all my imaginaion on paper...and energy.[i had to much]well i just loved it to express my feelings and thoughts on anything i want.it makes me feel like i have a place in this planet, like i can actually sucssed in something!
and now im getting close to publishing my first novel.

Well i started about 6 months ago. i'm 16 but I've been writing ever since i was 14, u no articles n stuff. currently working on a story from medieval Spain. hope 2 post it here soon.

I first started writing stories when I was 7 years old.I loved to read adventure books and I wanted to write a story of my own.When I started writing I was mostly writing abοut magical lands (like the chronicles of narnia) then I had an idea about haunted houses.Now I mostly write love stories combined with adventure.

I was in pre-kindergarten. The first story I wrote was about a sheep named Fluffy. Fluffy wants to see the world, and on Fluffy's way, he manages to dye himself purple. :) I miss being that age. nothing to worry about except dying yourself purple. :)

Since I could write, so about 5 years old. I love to write, and read stories in general, and I think I can thank my dad for that. He used to read bedtime stories every night when I was little, and ever since I've loved to write and tell my own stories.

I was 13, I was kinda withdrawn so it was a way to live a life I couldnt have...

About two years ago when I was 12....I really enjoyed writing FanFiction for Mass Effect and then I started my own story which I have been writing for one year. I have been using a thesaurus to spruce up my vocabulary since it takes place back in the early 18oo's. I might actually try to get it published.....I had a frind of mine whose dad is a publisher and her dad said that with editing, and some other details I would have a great book, so.

my parent's say that when i was little, i would act out a little play by myself in my room. mumbling to myself, soon after i started my parents would always hear, "that's it, i've got it now!" and then i would come to them and ask if i could get on the computer(i only type stories.)

Well, I am writing short story's ever since I was a little child.. But about a year ago I started with my first real book. :D

I started to write poems for my mother since I was about 5, my mother thought they were cool but I didn't believe her:))
Then, at school, I wrote a story about aliens and my teacher was so proud of my work that she made copies and give them to the other teachers:)) They said that I have talent, but I didn't even think of writing anything but homework.
But I woke up one morning, in April, and a little voice in my head told me that I have to write:)))) So I started writing a novel. I'll soon finish it:D:D:D:D

I got first jounral in third grade, and I have written stories ever since. The little half page little caterpillars turned to great multi-action novels now.

well, as in writing as a hobby id have to say about 10, because i never actually thought of writing for anything bnut school work before then. i have always liked riting, but i didnt think i was verie good at it, until i got 100% in a creative writing test in year 5 about a girl who was abused and how she got over it and all ladeedaa. (it was about 7 A4 pages long, wich for me and evryone else bak then was like 1000 pages in a book)
then i started playing around in my window, pretending my reflection was another side of me, like smeegle in lord of the rings, tho id nevaah watched it. then i thort of going threw it into another world, were evrything was the opposite. (ino, crappy) and i started riting about it. i then took a break and rewrote everything. vampires came along, tho i was not inspired by twilight, i was in fact inspired by bram stoker's dracula. tho i thort of type one and two. (if i gave yu the whole description yud think omg thats exactly like twilight, but, believe me, its not BLECH, no offence twilighters.)its gonna be a trilogy and ive got a gret idea for the next one :D. ive now finished the novel and am going to send it off soon. wish me luck :D

When I was like seven or eight, I started by writing fanfiction for the book/TV series The Saddle Club because I loved those books. I've written off and on since then, and now writing is my one true passion. Although ever since I was very little, my mom and I have always made up stories, it's just that I didn't start writing them down until I was seven or eight. Now I actually carry around a folder with tons of different unfinished stories. I usually have bits and pieces jotted down on paper for many different stories, if those ideas are lucky they will become fanfics.
