well... we'll see what you guys think about this one... Its different...Damien's POV.. Oh and this is for J_B.. Hope it makes you feel better hon.. and im NOT forgetting all you others! lol. i want to thank ALLLLLLL of you for your support!!

Chapter Twenty Six

    Damien stood in the yard, easily relaxed. This was not going to be a big deal. He just had to hurt the Vamp enough to let him know he could kill him.
Damien frowned. He wished he could kill him, but that would be like killing a Prince getting ready to take over the throne. The whole World needed Aden. Literally, the whole world. Aden was the only person who could stop Nicolas from taking over the world and making a endless supply of human slaves. He watched Aden come out the door and walk across the yard with an easy grace that only Vamp’s possessed. His body started to tingle, ready to shift in less than a second if needed.
Aden faced him, and Damien had to suppress a smile. This reminded him of an old Western, the two gunfighters facing each other from opposite ends of the street.
Yup, that was him. Laughing in the face of Danger. And he knew perfectly well that Aden was mad enough to kill him without a second thought. His plan had better work out… His eyes narrowed as he picked up on Aden’s slight movement. He let his body take over.
~        Glory opened her eyes slowly, wincing as sunlight met her eyes.
“Glory? Can you hear me?” Lupe’s soft voice filtered through the haze.
Glory blinked, and tried to move. Everything ached like crazy.
“Aden?”
“No, no. It’s Lupe.” Lupe crooned and Glory felt her soft hand brushing along her forehead. Glory struggled to swallow. She knew it was Lupe.
“ No… Where…Is… Aden…” Glory managed to rasp.
“ Oh…” Lupe’s voice trailed off. Glory managed to open her eyes and saw Lupe, Anna, and Gabe exchanged a worried glance.
“ Damien?” Glory asked slowly.
Everyone was uncharacteristically quiet.
“Where?” Glory gulped.
“ Outside. They’re fighting.” Anna finally answered.
“What?” Glory sat up quickly, or what she thought was quickly. It ended up like she was going in slow motion.
“Aden called Damien out. I don’t know what’s going on. Aden’s throwing up a mental block, so we cant read his mind.” Anna paused like she was listening. “ And Damien is changing his mind so fast I cant keep up.” Anna groaned and rubbed her temples.
“ They’re fighting?” Glory whispered in horror.
“ Yeah.” Gabe answered, resting a hand on Lupe’s shoulder absentmindedly.
Glory didn’t have time to stop to think how cute the moment was between the two.
She was already trying to stand.
“ Whoa, whoa. What are you doing?” Anna protested.
Glory paused a moment, to look Anna in the eye.
“ I’m stopping them.”
Glory staggered toward the door, intent on stopping them before they killed each other. She barely managed to open the door, and leaned on the frame once it was open. Her eyes widened as she took in Damien and Aden. Damien was shifted, circling around Aden warily. Aden stood relaxed, looking quite confident as he watched Damien circle him. Glory opened her mouth, trying to speak, but a sudden movement caused her throat to constrict. Damien leaped forward, faking an attack on one side. Aden moved to block him, but Damien shot forward the opposite way, raking claws down Aden’s face.
Glory gasped in horror as blood trickled down Aden’s cheek, dripping on his white shirt. She stared at those red splotches on Aden’s shirt as he moved, deftly using his speed as an advantage. So far neither of them looked like they had been hurt seriously. Which meant she needed to stop them soon or else someone was going to get hurt.
Aden. She tried to throw every feeling of desperation behind the thought that she could.
She watched him, hoping he would hear her because her strength was subsiding fast. She sagged even more weakly against the door frame.
Aden stiffened and started to turn, breaking his intense concentration on Damien. Damien took advantage of the moment, leaping forward to hit Aden squarely on the chest. Even Aden, with his Vamp speed and skills, couldn’t recover in time. They ended up with Aden on the ground, Damien crouched on his chest, snarling.
Not good, not good, not good. Repeated over and over in Glory’s head.
Damien leaned forward, bringing his deadly teeth closer to Aden’s exposed neck. He looked like he was going for the kill.
“Stop!” Glory cried, fighting her weakness. To her surprise, her voice came out strong, echoing back to her own ears.
Damien, in his cheetah form, looked up at her quickly, his snarls ceasing for the moment. Aden managed to turn his head so he could see her.
“ Just stop it!” Glory exclaimed. “I don’t want either of you at the moment! You guys are driving me nuts! Can we not just all stop and think about things, Without you two trying to kill each other?” Glory ranted, her fury mounting.
Damien and Aden stared at her, speechless. Now that her anger had expended itself, Glory felt worse than ever.
“ Please….Just stop.” She whispered, and collapsed.

~     Damien stared at Glory in shock. What was she doing off of the couch? She was too weak to be on her feet. He was mesmerized as he stared at her, face flushed with fever, looking magnificently fierce as she yelled at them. He forgot all about his plan making Aden listen to him, or that he was perched on his chest, in the perfect position to compromise. All that faded away as soon as her voice reached his ears. He had it bad. He was head over heels. He watched as her fiery temper ebbed away, until she swayed uncertainly on her feet. Then she was falling. He couldn’t move as Aden threw him off easily, moving with that Vamp speed of his, catching her before she touched the ground. Aden shot one look over his shoulder, and then carried Glory into the house. Damien felt a growl shudder through his chest. He wanted to be the one to sweep her off her feet and carry her into the house. His temper was mounting, and he had the urge to run. It wasn’t a coincidence that he was a Cheetah. He loved moving fast. Damien turned away, and let his feline instincts take over. Soon he was moving, faster than any other feline, racing through the forest, trying to get that annoyingly persistent sight of Glory in Aden’s arms out of his head.
