Honestly, even though it was changed a little too much and lacked originality, I sort of like the remake better (and not just because Leo's in it :P). Since it's more modernized, language included, it was much easier for me to understand at age 14 when we were studying Romeo and Juliet.

I watch the original a lot more often because I just feel like the emotions are a little more... real. I don't know. I just like watching it. The remake is more entertaining and exciting, and those are the types of movies that I prefer most of the time.

I haven't seen another Romeo and Juliet version, only an animated movie "Gnomeo and Juliet", which is obviously not close to Shakespeare's writing.
Also, I've heard about another adaptation, starring Leonardo Di Caprio but it sets on the modern world, so I guess this is closest version to the story.
It may sound childish but I love the animated version as well as this movie, so I cannot chose.
