After a few weeks pass, you've been getting much sicker. You can feel it and you can see it. Whenever you look in the mirror, you see a pale face, small dark circles, and white lips. Your rosy cheeks have turned to paleness and nothing but paleness. You've been feeling much weaker and you've been sucking at basketball lately. Your coach notices and he talks with you about it.
Coach: So Jamie. How is it?
Jamie: ...you should know coach...I'm losing it.
Coach: What can you do Jamie? You need to rest. You can't play.
Jamie: What? But...but I love playing. I can't just stop.
Coach: Then at least you can take more breaks off than the rest of the team.
Jamie: ...even though it's not fair, I have to agree. I can't keep up anymore. I'm too slow.
Coach: It's ok. I understand...but the medicines the doctor gives you don't work?
Jamie: I...I couldn't get them.
Coach: Why not?
Jamie: The money...they were too expensive.
Coach: ...how much?
Jamie: A couple hundred or thousand dollars...

Coach: Ok listen up everyone listen up.
All the girl basketball players surround coach. Meanwhile, you and Randy left already to just hang out together.
Coach: Ok you all know Jamie's problem. Well she has another one, financially. She can't pay for the medicine she needs and us as a team, I thought we could help Jamie out by selling candy or what not. Sound like a good idea?
Girls: Yah!!

You and Randy are at his house and on his roof. You two are looking up at the sky, lieing down on the bricky roof. You lean on Randy's chest and you keep looking up at the stars. You lay your hand on Randy's chest and you close your eyes, feeling yourself relaxed.
Jamie: It feels nice.
Randy: *smiles* Your not cold right?
Jamie: No.
You hug Randy tighter and just then a phone call comes.
Jamie: Ugh...
Randy gets his phone from his jean pocket and he answers it.
Randy: Hello?
Lauren: Randy.
Randy: Oh. Hey Lauren.
Lauren: Randy...can you come to my house for a sec?
Randy: Why? I can't anyways. I'm with Jamie.
Lauren: Please...I...*cries* I can't take this anymore.
Randy: Are you crying?
Lauren: Please Randy I need comfort.
Randy: W-why me? Can't you call Jessica or Tanya?
Lauren: Randy please...please...
Randy: I-I'm sorry Lauren. I can't...I'm with Jamie...h-hello? Hello?
Randy looks at his phone and Lauren just hung up on him.
Jamie: Why?
Randy: Nothing. You don't have to worry.
Jamie: Randy...
Randy: She wanted me to come over to her house.
Jamie: And you told her no?
Randy: Yah.
Jamie: Oh...did you know why?
Randy: No. But she was crying.
Jamie: What?
Randy: Yah...but I wanna be with you.
Jamie: *smile* Thanks...I needed that.
You give Randy a small kiss on his lips and you lean your head back onto his chest, feeling and hearing his heart skip a beat...
Coach: So Jamie. How is it?
