Well, this may be a long answer, but here goes:
1. I am not sure what the truth is about all the stuff MJ did. If he did do it, then yes he was very sick. The thing is that from what I saw, the family that was accusing him of these things also were on TV stating that he did not do anything of the sort. I do not know what their motives where in their stories taking a 180 other than $.
2. The child mol. stuff aside - was MJ sick. He did have many problems - his family life was not good, and I think he tried to get his childhood back as an adult. Did this make him sick as in "Sick" or just sick as in not well. I really don't know the answer to that even. Unfortunately when so much $ is involved stories get distorted.
3. Now for you. You did mention that you are bipolar. There are many people who are, however with treatment and therapy they live normal lives - ie neither "Sick" nor unwell.
4. Was the fact that you were such a big fan of his make you "Sick". Not if you were just a fan of his music, and you believed that he was innocent. In other words if you were not a fan of him because you thought he was doing the bad stuff people were saying he was doing, then you are not "Sick".

I hope my answer has not confused you further. I also hope that you can get the manic / depressive swings under control. I think that once you are able to, you will see the truth in my answer.
