17.11.2010 - WWE wrestler Alex Riley (Kevin Kiley, Jr.) was arrested early this morning in Tampa, Fla. on suspicion of drunk driving.
Riley was arrested at 1:14 a.m. and charged with "driving under the influence." He was booked in Hillsborough County jail at 2:56 a.m. before he was released at 9:33 a.m. on $500 bond.
According to Riley's booking sheet, he listed "WWE" as his employer and "pro wrestler" as his occupation.
TMZ also covered the story with a report on the basics of Riley's arrest and being The Miz's "sidekick" on WWE TV.
Caldwell's Analysis: I'm not trying to make light of the situation because driving while intoxicated is a very, very serious offense. But, he might get in more trouble with WWE for listing WWE as his employer considering WWE classifies their wrestlers as independent contractors and the company is currently being investigated by the state of Connecticut for the "independent contractors" vs. "employees" classification.
The arrest of WWE wrestler Alex Riley has been picked up on the TMZ website. His mugshot is shown and the quick write-up says he is a "regular on the WWE circuit."
Twill's Two Cents: Everyone makes stupid mistakes from time to time, but Riley should be very worried right now. He had a good thing going being paired with The Miz on WWE television. He could have risked that, or his job, by doing this.
