The girl, mother of two, sharpened her dagger. She checked her watch: 6:39 am. The start of a new day. She sat in an abandoned cave mouth that stared out into the vast oceans of Honolulu, Hawaii. She looked over to her calendar, which she hadn't checked in days.
"Hmm. The anniversary of my death was yesterday. Figures I wouldn't remember,"she grumbled. She missed her family, friends, and her husband...and her two children Ashlynn and Vermillion. But she stayed put, determined not to let the government find her and start up that stupid war again. That is...until now.

Drake smiled his charming smirk. He got up off the couch. Ash's stomach rumbled.
"What do you want for breakfast?" Drake asked, walking into the kitchen.
"My nightmare..."Ash said darkly.
"OOO!!Dark, Ashy!"Drake commented. Ash laughed."How about some French toast huh?"he asked. She laughed harder, but gave him a thumbs up. Once she stopped giggling like a 9 year old, she walked over to Drake. The French toast smelled yummy.
"Go ahead and wake up Sa--"
"WHAT DO I SMELL?!"Safire interrupted Drake. She stood at the kitchen doorway. Ash laughed again.
"French toast, Saffie!"she said. Safire dashed...

Drake smirked at Ash. She felt sooo awkward.
"W-well let's see what's down there...."she said shakily. Justin frowned at Drake. Drake nodded and removed his gaze. Ash moved over to the split board. She reached in. She pulled out what looked like a photo.
"Uh Safire....isn't this your mom?" Ash asked. Safire looked at the picture.
"Yeah! Hey...this girl looks just like you! But she has red hair!" she noted. Ash took the picture. Her eyes scanned it, then she opened her silver locket. Her eyes widened.
"That's my mom!" she exclaimed in shock. Drake moved behind her and looked over her shoulder...

Drake walked over to Ash and Justin."What do you mean 'in the floorboard'?!"He knelt down too.
The russet-colored floorboard was slightly open-- like diagonally from the floor. None of them could see inside, since the crack was so small.
"Guys, wanna help me get this open?" Ash asked to no one in particular. Drake and Justin nodded. Zero had vanished, and the window was open.
"Figures my brother would leave when the most exciting thing would happen..." Justin noted.
"Just like my brother," Drake said. Justin stared at Drake. Ash sighed.

The time was around 7:00 pm and Ash was still in the city rose garden.She loved that place with all her heart.But there was a place in that garden that she loved more than all the others:The Solstice Rose Bed.The ancient flower bed was hidden safely away from wandering eyes,the entrance laced with bramble,poison ivy,and the thorny rose vines themselves.Ash was the only person in a century to find this flower bed.The flowers were wilted then,so she took great care of them.Unknown to her,the flowers were so grateful that they wait for her before the surprise happens.These beautiful roses began...
