damn, it's been a great year for movies so far (A&O 4, How to Train Your Dragon 2, The Lego Movie, X Men Days of Future Past, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes etc), so it's gonna be pretty hard for me to make my top 11 best list at the end of the year, since there been so many good movies out in 2014 Posted over a year ago

my A&O 4 verdict:
it fixes almost every problem the second and third movie had and cranks it up to the next level. animation's close to the original, strong story, solid writing, fantastic characters, hilarious comedy, great emotions (i almost teared up in a few scenes), along with Richard Rich's smart directing and great acting by the cast. no matter how much i loved A&O 2, THIS is the sequel we've been waiting for!

it's a fun movie to watch with good comedy and heart, and the characters (both old and new) and it also has a good moral about working as a team. but, the script was a let down and the story wasn't that strong. it could've been even better

Couple extra bits that really helped A&O 4 to be the success it was-

1. No bears, adults and cubs.
2. Marcel and Paddy get less than three minutes of actual screentime.
3. The last half of the movie only focuses on one pup instead of all three, which helped to give that extra screentime to Kate and Humphrey.
