I think american eagle is an okay store. Aerie, their loungewear store, is just as good. They change their stock often and have only adult clothes and accesories. If you are a kid, try ae kids by american eagle for cute childrens clothing. It is usually a fairly priced stare with quality clothing. Use the fitting guide to find your size and, for the best deals, sign up for their e-mail list. But, honestly, if you are looking for the best place to shop, hollister by far. Then abercrombie/abercrombie and fitch. aeropostale is also okay. Tip: always check the clearance section for the best deals!
