We don't know yet how this princess thing came up, but obviously, she's supposed to be a beautiful young woman and there are political issues. So I can see him saying, give it a go. And like someone said, hey, he's a guy. You know how a guy's face can light up in the presence of a good looking woman. So we know that deep in his heart is a woman who he thinks he can never be with. Maybe this woman can put some salve on his wounds, he thinks. I think I'm changing my mind. I think the smile is real and he's enjoying himself. I think in the beginning, he likes Mitthian. He likes her looks and is flattered by her attention. He's probably going to be thinking that maybe he can make a go of it. He's thinking she's not bad. He needs a woman. Maybe she'll do just fine. That's until Guinevere comes...
