Okay, so I think it's fair to say we've all seen our share of depictions of soulmates. Whether it's in movies, fanfics, songs, etc.
Now usually soulmates have been described as two people with clocks under their skin, burning sensations and weird markings and the occasion colors (ooh, the colors!) Honestly, it sounds terrifying! *lol*

But that being said I do think soulmates exists and I think it's possible that there's a soulmate out there for anyone. But I also think it doesn't have to be romantic. A soulmate can be someone you connect with (minus the skin burning, ouch! *lol*)

And even if you're aro/ace or asexual, there's no law that says you can't have a soulmate. For me soulmate is another word for a best friend or a bff.

I mean when you think about it a soulmate is someone who gets you, someone who makes you better and allows you to be yourself.

I really don't think soulmates are limited to romance or those who aren't part of the asexual spectrum. I mean why? Seriously, why are soulmates always associated with romance? Ugh!
And why is it so painful?🤔

Anyway, imo soulmates don't have to be romantic. If you have someone in your life that makes you happy and you love to hang out with then can be your soulmate, asexual or not.
