Asexual Discrimination

Peaceandlove67 I was bullied in school for being asexual, but I did have friends looking out for me, and I still have them.

Peaceandlove67 I'm glad for that, too. I wish I could say that being asexual was the only thing I was bullied for, but I have learned that it's not the people who hurt you that matter, but the ones who made you smile again.

ktichenor That is so true. And those bullies are just morons! I think you're a very kind and sweet person and they're just losers! Just keep on keeping on :)

2ntyOnePilots Pfft things like really bothe4 me. I’m working at just letting it go. Think what you want, I know myself. (Also try having a psychologist as a parent... it’s so FUN learning all about the “underdeveloped and general lack of activity, ect” in part of my brain. But hey I don’t need to worry about it! Luckily, “it’s just a phase and hormones levels. You’ll grow out of it”. More l8ke I’ll be 30, unmarried, and doing great, and sh3 will be incorrect. She’ll accept that I’m not going to raise her grandchildren or whatever one day hopefully.

ktichenor Personally, I think hypocrisy plays a role at this sometimes. Think about it, when your younger and not interested in sex, you're every parent's dream! It's 'good for you!' 'Oh, look at this proper young person, waiting for the right one!' but then you get older and then it's 'Good lord, why aren't you married!' "Where are my grand kids!' 'You don't like sex? Well, that's fine. When you meet the right one, you'll change your mind.' It's like seriously!? Why was it okay to be asexual when you're younger but when you're older you're committing the ultimate sin!?

Peaceandlove67 It really doesn't make sense. It took a while for my family to accept it, but they did come around. My aunt and uncle accepted and understood once I explained it. Everyone else, it took five years, but they finally understand.
