12. Right before sixth grade started

At a very stressful point in my life. I literally didn't live anywhere, was snowed into a tiny motel in Wyoming inside a city of 121 people.

one of my friends just got it yesterday. She said her mom is telling everybody.

It was during the summer, and I was going to this acting/singing/dancing day camp (none of which I can actually do, btw). Anyways, one of the dance numbers we had to do had this part where you put your leg over a chair and then straddled it. The first day I had my first period, our camp councellors decided we needed to work on that part - so I ended up spending a good 1-2 hours straddling a chair. So not fun.

I got it at 12.It was the second week of 7th grade, I believe. I was actually at school when I got it, but didn't notice and nobody told me. I didn't realize it until I got home. So basically I went the day with a blood stain on the back of my khaki pants.

um...I was 10. :(

i realized that i was 11 when i got it. It was in 5th grade.

I was not happy when mine came! Now I am glad I have it because if I didnt I wouldnt have my little baby boy!

I thought I was so weird because everyone had already gotten it. I am the last person I know (in my grade) to have gotten mine.

I'm accualy luck my mom had her's when she was only 9

like two weeks before my 13th birthday. 13 is the curse for my family. we all got it around that time.

Actually... I got mine at 9 years old. I had know idea what it was, but it wasn't like i didn't know about it. My mom kept me so informed. My sister and I lived and breathed beginner sex talks and body changes weekly. I had changed my underwear three times before I told my mom about it and that's when she realized.

I got mine when I was ten at school. I had to tell my teacher that I got it and then she got me a pad. My friends were jealous that I got it before them.

I got mine during the summer before seventh grade when I was 13 years old. I was home...and wearing light pink pajama shorts. My mom was at work and only my dad and younger brother were home with me (pretty embarrassing at for me lol). I ran to the bathroom with the phone when I noticed what happened and called my mom, while crying, and squeaked "Blood!". It upset me because I could tell she was smiling, but I listened when she told me where to find the pads. I know that my dad knew what had happened, but he kept it smooth and didn't mention it. =]

In primary school there was a kind of competition going on between the girls to see who would get their period first, and now it's just a painful nuisance that visits us for 5 days a month. I got mine while doing some work over at my neighbours house during the Autumn mid term break. I told my mother that night and it was annoying because I could tell that she was all proud, whereas I was just sore. :)

I think it was 20 days before my 13th birthday. I was at home and when I was on toilets I noticed it and I thought "what it is", but I was quite good informed from school and the net. My mother "noticed" it a year after it and first week when she knew that it was horrible, she was behaving as if I was a child and I had it first time. Since that she hasn´t cared about me. I´ve always been independent, I haven´t talk with her about it. I just don´t have good relationship with her.
