The year was 1992. Craig McCracken was in his office in the Cartoon Network studio, trying to come up with characters for an idea for his new short film.
Craig: [thinking] Hmmm.... what characters do I need for my new cartoon? I'll get fired if I don't come up with a concept!
After a few seconds of thinking, an idea appeared in his head.
Craig: That's it! I'll create three troublemakers for my cartoon! Three zany female troublemakers!
Craig grabbed his pencil and took out a piece of animation paper, and began to drew. First he drew three ovals, then short rectangular shapes for the bodies, sausage-like shapes for the legs, and teardrop-like thingies for the arms.
Then moving on to detail, he drew black Mary Janes on the "legs", a thick black stripe on the "bodies", and huge eyes on the "heads". Now McCracken wanted each character to be different. He drew waist-length hair on the middle character and topped it off with a bow. For the left character he drew curved, pigtailed hair, and for the right one he drew black flipped hair. He then finished his new toons by drawing in some huge eyes and a small smile, and, to add to their wild side, dog-like ears, while the middle character's were longer, and long cat-like tails. He had now created three zany troublemaker little girls.
Craig: Looks good enough. Now for the color!
He grabbed his palette and paintbrush, and painted the life in the three toons, painting in blue, pink and green dresses for his characters respectively. He then painted yellow hair for the left character, orange for the middle, and black for the right. And to top it all off, he painted the eyes of the three the same color as their dresses.
Craig: Looks almost nice enough. I think I'll name them.
Mr. McCracken got his pencil again and wrote in "Blokko", "Bukko", and "Bukker" on top of the three girls.
Craig: It's finished! I have three new characters to star in my cartoon! I get to keep my job! Oh look, they're moving!
To describe what Mr. McCracken said, the three girls' tails were wagging, their ears started to wobble, and wait for it.....
Blokko, Bukko and Bukker: [jump out of Craig's paper and lunge onto him] Hellooooooo, Craig McCracken! [give him a big kiss, then run off]
Craig: That's... odd. Now to tell the studio boss about this.
McCracken now was in the boss' office, but the boss, strangely, doesn't seem to be happy.
Boss: Short film!?!? Those three zany toon girls can't be starring in any cartoons! Look at them, Craig, they're tearing up my studio! They're out of control!
Craig; I'm sorry, Mr. Boss Man. Can you at least give me a second chance?
His question isn't answered yet. The next scene goes to outside the studio, where the staff are panicking and running for their lives, with the Toonpuffs destroying and vandalizing some entities.
Mr Boss. Man, determined to put an end to their chaos, dialed a number on his phone.
Boss: Guard!!! Capture and dispose of those three zany girls, pronto! [slams the phone back]
A few minutes later, Blokko, Bukko and Bukker were still causing havoc for the studio. They were being stalked by the studio guard, who was met by a panicked animator.
Animator: Oh please, Mr. Guard, when will this insanity stop?
Mr Guard: You'll see, you'll see...
The guard then pursued Blokko, Bukko and Bukker for thirty seconds, until finally, voila! He had the three toon girls in his net.
Mr. Guard: Ha! Got you zany troublemakers. Now to lock you away in a place where they'll never find you.
He ran to the water tower, climbed up, opened the logo-shaped door and threw the three zanies inside. He then looked inside the tower to see the zany girls being a bit more crazy, even when they were captured. Blokko was laughing so hard that she fell flat on her butt, Bukker detached her own head from her body, juggled it, and began to whack her laughing red-bowed sister with it, and Bukko was making her head spin by yanking her black, long ears back and forth. Mr. Guard just let out an annoyed sigh and slammed the door, and made an announcement to everyone via megaphone.
Mr. Guard: People, people, no need to panic. The insanity has ended, I locked the three zany toons away in this water tower. Now, have a nice day.
Everyone that worked for the studio cheered and ran back to doing their business.
McCracken was back in his animation office, accompanied by his boss.
Boss: Alright, Mr. McCracken, I'll give you a second chance! Now make sure your brand new toons must be behaved! [exits the room and slams the door]
Craig: Alright, I'm done with crazy cartoon characters. I'm gonna draw the same girls from before, but I'll not give them ears and tails and make them nice and... [thinks of a word to describe his very new toons] superheroey! And I'll give them different names!
And with that, Craig got his pencil and started working on his new, behaved, superheroey characters.
The End.
