“Bones the certificate appears in order.”
“Booth, never mind about that now. I just figured out what has killed at least four of the wives. We need to question the suspect again.”
“Bones are you sure.”
“Booth trust me remember I’m your wife now.” Bones said with a smirk on her face. As soon as she said it, she felt a strange feeling come over her. She could not describe it but it did feel good.
They both left the Jeffersonian and headed for the FBI office to interrogate the suspect one more time but Booth needed to stop at his apartment on the way.
“Booth why was it necessary to stop at your place now.”
“Bones there is something that I need to get for you.”
“For me?”
“Yes.”
Booth quickly rushed into his place and returned moments later to the car where Bones was waiting.
“Booth, did you get what you needed?”
“Yes, Bones this is my grandmother’s wedding ring and I would like you to wear it.”
“Booth, I don’t think I should. Isn’t that for someone special?”
“Bones you are special and for the record you are married to me and I would like you to wear this ring.”
Bones was looking at the ring and then she looked at Booth, who then took her hand and slipped the ring onto her third finger of her left hand. They both were quiet on the rest of the trip to the FBI building.

In the interrogation room, they began to question the suspect on his wives.
Bones: “I know how four of your wives died and I will find the cause of death on the others. What I would like to know is how you could marry each one and then kill them within such a short period of time?”
Suspect: “Well when I married them each of them was quiet, but after the wedding they all started to nag until I could no longer take it.”
Booth: “You could have left them, divorced them but you killed them.”
Suspect: “I guess I could have but it was just easier.”
Bones: “You killed them because they nagged? What kind of person are you?”
Suspect: “You would kill your wife to if she kept after you to pick up your clothes, to put the seat down on the toilet, to take out the trash.”
Booth: “I’ve heard all I want. You’re under arrest for the murder of your current wife and you will also be charged on the murders of your former wives.”
Suspect: “Hey Dr. Brennan, I bet you don’t nag your husband.”
Bones: “What makes you think I’m married?”
Suspect: “Good looking woman like you and then there is the wedding band.”
“That’s enough.” Booth said as he took the suspect out of the room not to gently.

Bones and Booth were sitting at the bar having a drink like they do after a case is solved. Bones was thinking about how could a man marry so many women and then just kill them because they nagged. She then asked: “Booth, do I nag?”
Booth who had just took a drink from a bottle of beer, choked as he sputtered. “What made you ask that question?”
“I just wondered.”
“No not too much, well except for that time when we were at the circus and you told me to pick up my underwear.”
Bones was about to say something when Booth’s phone rang. After he listened to the caller, he turned to Bones and said. “I have to go but I’ll take you home first.”
“Booth don’t you need me with you?”
“Bones, if I need you I will come back and get you. Right now you need to go home and get some rest. It has been a long day.”
Booth dropped Bones off at her apartment before he headed back to the FBI building. His boss was waiting for him in his office. As he entered the office, his boss said. “Agent Booth I called you into the office tonight because I wanted to check on the progress of this last case.”
Booth answered looking at his boss intently. “Is that really why you called me into the office?”
Andrew, his boss, looked at Booth and with resignation in his voice responded. “Is it that obvious?”
“What is it that you want to know?” Booth asked.
Andrew: “It is about Temperance, is she seeing someone else?”
Booth: “I believe you need to ask her.”
Andrew: “She cancelled our date tonight and she told me that she can no longer see me as she is committed to someone else.”
Booth: “She said that?”
Andrew: “Yes and I want to know how serious is it.”
Booth: “If Bones says that she is committed then she is and there is nothing you can do about it.”
Andrew: “So there is no hope for me with her?”
Booth just looked at his boss. He was thinking about Bones and how serious was she when she told Andrew that she was committed. It made him feel good that she had said this.

Back at Brennan’s apartment, Brennan was just getting ready for bed. She was taking off jewelry but somehow she could not bring herself to remove the wedding ring Booth had given her. There was something about it that made her feel special. It was strange but she has always been against marriage and now that she was married to Booth it’s different. Maybe because she is married to Booth but what if Booth does not want to be married to her.

The next morning, Brennan was sitting at her desk doing the paperwork for the last case when Cam entered the room.
Cam: “So the case is closed. Did anything unusual happen on this case?”
Brennan: “No not really other than the man married fourteen women and killed them all because they nagged.”
Cam: “Where is Booth? Shouldn’t he be helping you with the paperwork?”
Brennan: “He had to go back to the office and work late last night. So he will come in later.”
Cam: “Well if there is anything you need just let me know.”
Brennan: “Thanks Cam.”
Cam was watching Brennan, but could not see any sign where she could bring up the marriage. She did see that Brennan was wearing a wedding band which looked like the ring that Booth got from his grandmother, but she wanted to respect their secret. Cam went to Angela’s office to ask Angela if Brennan has said anything this morning to her.
Angela told her that she has not seen Brennan yet today but maybe later in the afternoon she would try to get some information.

As they were talking they saw Booth walk into the lab and head straight for Brennan’s office. They both watched intensely as Booth walked into Brennan’s office.

Booth entered the office and noted that Bones was still wearing the wedding ring. He wanted to tell her about last night with his boss but thought now would not be a good time. Instead he asked about the paperwork and if she needed any help.
Bones: “No thanks, I’m almost finished with the cause of death on the last wife and the preliminary on the other four, but I will have to wait until I can examine the other nine bodies before I give the paperwork to the DA.”
Booth: “Well at least that case is finished and now we can figure out what we are going to do about ‘you know’.”
Bones was looking at Booth and trying to figure out what he was talking about when it dawned on her. She glanced down at the ring and knew that somehow she did not want to take it off.
Bones: “You said the paperwork looked legitimate and if it is that means we are legally married and logically we should be living together.”
Booth could not believe his ears. Did she just say we should live together? “Excuse me, but what did you just say?” He asked.
Bones: “Well if you want a divorce, we have to provide a reason for the court other than we were tricked into getting married.”
Booth: “We can’t get a divorce.”
Before Bones could ask why not, one of the lab techs came into the office to give Brennan some paperwork. Booth said. “We need to talk about this where it is not like grand central station.” He then left the office to go back to the FBI building.
Once he got to his office, he had time to try to figure out how to handle this but if Bones wants out he was not going to stop her but he was not going to go for a divorce.

Brennan had watched Booth leave her office and still did not get why he would not get a divorce besides it was just a mistake. She wanted to ask someone for some idea on how to handle this. Maybe she should at least tell her best friend, Angela. Even though she had promised Booth not to say anything she did not like keeping secrets.

Later that day Brennan stopped by Angela’s office to ask her about her divorce she had to get before she was going to marry Hodgins. Angela greeted her with her usual. “Hey Sweetie.”
Brennan: “Angela when you got a divorce was there any problems in getting it?”
Angela: “No the only problem was that Grayson wanted to stay married to me and did not want to get a divorce. Why do you ask?”
Brennan: “No just curious.” Brennan than realized that she had to give a reason for the question. “It is because of this case, the suspect married fourteen women and he murdered each one instead of getting a divorce.”
Brennan looked at Angela hoping she accepted this explanation for the question. Angela looked at Brennan and realized that this was not the time to ask about the marriage. It sounded as if Brennan is trying to back out of the marriage with Booth just like she has backed out of her previous relationships. But this time she is married and it won’t be that easy. Angela thought she had better go tell Cam.
Angela: “I need to go see Cam right now. Is there anything else that you need?”
Brennan: “No but thank you for the information.”

Brennan left Angela’s office in deep thought about what Angela had said. So the reason Booth is saying no to the divorce is it because he wants to stay married. Does this mean that Booth loves me more than just as a partner? She asked herself. She went back to her office wondering why she was not upset about the idea of staying married to Booth.

As soon as Brennan left her office, Angela heads for Cam’s office to tell her what Brennan had asked. Cam listened and then asked. “Do you think that they got married and now she wants to change her mind? Because I can tell you for a fact that Booth is in love with Dr. Brennan.”
Angela: “I know but how did you know?”
Cam: “He told me as a friend. How did you figure it out?”
Angela: “It’s the way he looks at her when they are together.”
Cam: “Doesn’t Dr. Brennan know that Booth doesn’t believe in divorce because he is Catholic.”
Angela: “Well if she really wants out of the marriage there is only divorce.”
Cam: “Well they could get it annulled.”
Angela: “But that would mean that they have never consummated the marriage.”
Cam: “I know but Dr. Brennan did say that Booth had to work late last night and maybe nothing happened yet.”
Angela: “If I was married to Booth, I would have jumped him on the way back to DC.”
Cam: “Let’s not jump to conclusions maybe she is just asking for the reason she gave you.”
Angela gave Cam a look that told her otherwise.
Cam: “Angela I think I will go to Dr. Brennan’s office and drop the hint about an annulment.”
Angela: “NO! You don’t want to give her a chance of getting out of this marriage. Let’s just keep quiet and see what happens. I know she loves Booth but she will not admit it to anyone.”
Cam: “You’re right.”

Brennan returned to her office to find Booth asleep on the couch. She wanted to talk to him but he was so sound asleep that she just quietly covered him with the throw. She went to her desk to work while he slept. If anyone entered her office she gave a sign to keep quiet. She was deep into her paperwork when she looked up and saw Booth looking at her.
Bones: “It must have been a late night last night.”
Booth: “Yes it was. Anyway about what you said.”
Bones: “Said about what?”
Booth: “You know living together.”
Bones: “Oh yes that. Can we talk about it over dinner, I’m starving.”

Bones
I was being cut off of air. My face had been forced into--leather material. Wrists and ankles, weighed down in what felt as though dumbbells, instead, chains. I attempted to shift my body into a better position, but the abrupt stops and jolts made things very difficult. I was chained, in the backseat of a car.
Along my jugular veins, I could feel bruising. Straining my neck to readjust my head for better breathing brought me to find them. I had been temporarily strangled. And then, a greater jolt occurred causing me to roll onto the floor of the car. Pains emerged where I hadn't realized...

This song was recored and written by Delta Goodrem, an amzing Australian artist, it is called 'The Analyst'. To me it perfectly describes Temperence Brennan
Here are the lyrics:

Prepare yourself to meet
The girl who cannot sleep
Dividing every question till the questions are comeplete
Every twisted tongue she studies everyone
She won't leave any stone unturned the night is oh so young

Oh oh she's traveling back in time
Questioning every line that someone said
Oh oh she's trying to understand

Free her mind she's always the analyst
Silent space the culprit the catalyst
Trying to make sense of her...
