Brisky stared at the stars for a few moments, waiting for an answer. "They have left me," he muttered sadly to himself.
He eventually grew tired, and walked to his family's den. But then he stopped in his tracks. He probably wasn't wanted in there. Brisky heard faint voices coming from his den, and stalked to the corner of the entrance. He pricked his ears, listening to the sounds.
"We...what can we do?" He heard his father's voice, it was very faint. "I'm not sure, Shadow," he heard his mother say. "But we can't have Brick living with us." Those words hurt Brisky, and he felt like a badger...
