"Hey, it's me. Look, I'm at the airport. I've got two tickets to Las Vegas. Do you wanna get married tonight?"
Brooke laughs at him, thinking this is some kind of joke, but when he says nothing in return she panics a bit.
"You ARE joking, right?"
"No, Brooke, I'm not joking. I know this seems crazy, but I love you and i regret ever letting you go. These past few months... spending time with you & Angie, being reminded of how amazing you are, it sparked something in me. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want us to have our two boys and a girl!"
She says nothing, slowly digesting it all.
"So what do you say pretty girl, will you come to Vegas and marry me?"
"Are you fucking kidding me?! What kind of idiot proposes to a girl on the damn phone?! You infuriate me Lucas Scott! Ughhhhh!"
The only sound Lucas hears after that is the click of Brooke hanging up on him.
"Well that went real well..." He mutters to himself.
----- 2 hours later----
*knock knock knock*
Brooke opens the door and is surprised to see a bouquet of red roses at her door. She picks them up and reads the card attached. "Pretty Girl, I'm sorry i was such an idiot. Of course proposing over the phone wasn't the proper way to do it. Turn around."
"Turn around, what?" She mumbles confusedly, but slowly turns, letting out a gasp when she sees Lucas down on one knee.
"Brooke Penelope Davis, we have been through so much together. Good times and bad times, yet through it all I can always count on you to be there for me, always supporting me when i need you to. I once told you that you were going to change the world someday, and you have... You've changed MY world, and everyday I'm thankful for that."
"Luke..."
"No, let me finish baby."
"Okay," she nods "Go ahead."
"You've become one of my best friends Brooke, and don't they say that a great relationship is built from a great friendship? We want the same things in life, a family, living here in Tree Hill, are hearts are the same Brooke! So if you'll let me, I'd be more than honored to spend the rest of my life loving you and cherishing you. Will you marry me?"
Her head is telling her, 'What if he hurts me again? What if he breaks my heart?' But her heart knows better, knows that this isn't going to be like high school. They've both grown up, and they both have come to realize how much they truly need each other.
"Yes! Yes Lucas, i will marry you."
He gently slides the ring on to her finger, kissing her hand as he does.
"I love you, Brooke Davis soon to be Scott."
"I love you too, Lucas Scott."
They stood quietly embracing for a while, just letting themselves get lost in each other. Until suddenly Brooke broke the silence.
"So what do you say broody, you ready to go get started on those 2 boys and a girl?!"
