Damn, making my top 10 animated movies was harder than I thought! I have a feeling that I left out some, and there are some I would like to include but it's been a while that I haven't seen them, so the more appropriate way to describe this list is a rough draft of my favorite animated movies xD It's just really hard to make a favorites list and give proper explanations. There many animated movies that I love, but there only a couple that have stolen my heart 💜

10) The Nightmare Before Christmas

Starting this list is my favorite Christmas (or Halloween) movie! I'm not a fan of stop motion animation, but this movie is brilliant and has an excellent soundtrack. I love how it has an unconventional style and setting. The main characters and movie are still great! I can't help, but feel bad for Jack when Christmas ended up being a nightmare. I wish I could elaborate more on why The Nightmare Before Christmas is so great because it's seriously a great movie! I actually haven't seen this movie until I was a bit older, but it gives me feels!

9) Lilo and Stitch

Here we have a story of two sisters before Frozen. Unlike most Disney films, this one actually takes place in a modern setting, yet seems completely timeless if you ask me. First of all I got to say, Lilo is not just one of my favorite Disney kids, but one of my favorite animated kids in general. I love how weird she is and how she wanted to punish her ''friends'' . I was a pretty strange little kid too. Hell, I still am and I always have a thing for the weird characters! I also love Nani! You just can't help but root for her when she's struggling to take care of her little sister or else she'd have to give up her only family left to a social worker. When I was younger I didn't understand the situation, but now I get to see the sad story behind Nani and Lilo, and why Lilo is the way she is. (Also her "friends'' are little monsters!) There's a lot more to the movie besides the a great adventure of aliens landing in Hawaii. Speaking of aliens, I absolutely love Stitch, Jumba, and Pleakley! They are so fun and entertaining! Stitch reminds me of a blue pug, which I think is cute. Lilo and Stitch is a fun, yet emotional movie!

8) Despicable Me

Awww I love this movie so much! It's one of the greater newer ones! It's so sweet, funny, family friendly, and surprisingly thoughtful! It also stars Steve Carrell who I think is hilarious. Idk why but that pyramid scene in the beginning never fails to crack me up, there's something about that little boy that makes me laugh. My favorite character would have to be Agnes, she's adorable and the sweetest little thing! The minions are also pretty cute in their own weird way. The developing relationship between Gru and the three sisters is really charming.

7) Tarzan

Tarzan is always a joy to watch! Did you know that the animator,Glen Keane put himself in Tarzan when he touched Jane's hands for the first time as a reference to touching his daughter's hand for the first time? That just shows how much emotion and depth was put into that scene! Also the whole concept of Kerchak's perception of Tarzan being the ''replacement'' for the first ape baby that was killed is just intense! I just love it when animated movies can leave such emotional power that can appeal to adults just as equally as kids. *Sigh* We need more animated movies like these nowadays. Also it takes place in a rainforest, and I love rain forests!

6) The Emperor's New Groove

Oh, yes! This movie is awesome and always makes me smile! It's hilarious and I love the Incan setting! There are so many funny moments throughout the movie that stand out to me. I don't know about you, but I think Kuzco and Pacha make a fantastic duo! Even though Kuzco is incredibly narcissistic, he's still an enjoyable character! I think the reason why this movie is superb is pretty self explanatory.

5) The Aristocats
Out of the the classic animated movies, my favorite without a doubt, would have to be the Aristocats! After all these years, I still can't get over that song, "Everybody wants to be cat''. Even though I'm more of a dog person myself, this is my favorite Disney animal movie hands down. I love how the sketchy animation goes well with the old fashioned Paris setting in the 1910, it makes me want to visit France! I'm not really a fan of old movies, but the Aristocats is so timeless! I think it's just as enjoyable as the modern movies! I love seeing the interaction between the kitten siblings! My uncle joked that when he saw the Aristocats cover that I was Toulouse (even though I don't act like him) and that my sister was Marie (even though she doesn't act like her) lol! My favorite character would have to be the old guy, I just can't help, but laugh every time I see him. Oh and another thing is that I love how cats have different accents (British, Russian, Chinese, French, American). It reminds me of the Allies xD Sometimes the best animated movies don't have to have special meanings or development, they can be just be really cute.

4) Mulan

I'm pretty sure a handful of you saw this coming, but seriously, Mulan really is something special. While I think it's admirable that a village girl in ancient China became a bad ass warrior, it's not the only reason why I love it so much! First of all it's really entertaining and I love the soundtrack! Also I love seeing Mulan being socially awkward, I have a thing for socially awkward characters. I thought the scene with the matchmaker was really fun and one of the most epic scenes I've ever seen is when China bows down to Mulan. It just makes my want to cry inside. It's definitely one of those movies, that will have a special place in my heart.

3) All Dogs go to Heaven
Forget Anastasia. This is the best Jon Bluth movie, at least for me it is. It's so underrated, but so brilliant. Even though it's considered an animated comedy for kids, it's pretty dark and appealing for adults as well. I really like it when animated movies for audiences for any age have a bit of darkness to them. I mean seriously guys, this movie covers the topic of heaven and hell. Also Charlie's nightmare and "Charlie, you will never come back!'' I know that any movie where an animal is the protagonist is humanized to some degree, but Charlie really seems like a human inside a dog's body. He pretty much cheated death and because of that, he will face some serious consequences. Charlie's change of heart was a genuine development. It's not everyday in an animated family film where you have a have a loose protagonist that doesn't exactly fall under the good alignment, but a more neutral one. I wish ADGTH would get more love because it really does get to your head and have you thinking about morality.

2) Spirited Away

Spirited Away deserves every praise it gets! When I first saw it, I was blown away! I'm a big fan of Ghibli films, so of course this movie is great! One small detail I noticed about Ghibli films is that the facial expressions and movements that the characters make seem to imitate the real ones. (That's just a small thing I noticed.) The imagination behind this is ridiculous! The animation is breathtaking! All the characters in there are really interesting. I find it really amusing how Chihiro starts out as a really whiny kid that annoys people and has a hard time adjusting to the spirit house. Everything that happens in there is amazing. You don't have to be an anime fan to love this movie! How much I love this movie is beyond words! It's amazing, perfection, and follows really closely behind my #1.

1) Beauty and the Beast

I just love this movie to bits! I remember the first time I saw it, I fell in love with it. Belle has become my favorite Disney Princess ever since. The animation behind this movie is GORGEOUS, especially in the ballroom scene. The narration in the beginning is really stood out to me and the ending is really beautiful. I love the French Renaissance setting too. I noticed that settings play a big role in what I love. Beauty and the Beast is indeed a masterpiece and will remain my favorite animated movie!

Not a lot has been going on lately on Fanpop so I decided to do this article because it seemed like a lot of fun.

I'm 19 and I will turn 20 on June 10.
I live in the French part of Canada which some people call Paris of North America. I originally studied 3D animation but I've tried taking several different classes for my first 2 years of College including Social Sciences. As you can see, I'm very indecisive. I now have little idea of what I want to do in life and I am on a break from College for now. I'm thinking about studying animation again but it's very risky and it will be hard to get back...

Now, none of these are perfect films, I will be listing their flaws, but I do like these 4, and I will list why; feel free to decide I am stupid and should never have an opinion again, but sadly I'm stubborn and these are sticking as firm faves - or at least likes.

4.The black cauldron: flaws = underdeveloped characters, basic story, bland, no signature musical numbers.
My thoughts: I didn't put atlantis here as that is still quite respected within it's own cult, but there are very few people who like this. Despite being blander than other films, it's no home on the range, and I love the artwork,...

It's been a while since I last wrote an article here so now I decided to do a new one about my favorite songs from animated movies that are sung by a heroine, hope you'll like this new article and don't forget to leave a comment. The only requirement I had was that the heroine has to sing at least half of the song

10. Reflection
When will my reflection show who I am inside?
When will my reflection show who I am inside?

This song is so relatable which is the main reason to why I love this song very much, but also because it's a beautiful song and Lea Salonga does a wonderful job, she has a great voice even though she's pretty low on...

Ok so some people mightn't know what this one is about but I have this on Vhs and I actually like it . I got it as a present from my mom so I watched it . I love it although the only flaw I have to it is that its too short (48 mins). With great music and enchanting moments like the ball prehaps this version of Cinderella is indeed charming and very sweet. The story begins where Cinderella's mother passed on and her father goes off for a few days leaving her with her wicked stepmother and her two ugly stepsisters. Nearby lives a handsome prince who is seeking a bride.

Personally if you haven't seen it then do see the film I tell ya its very sweet and charming .

Verdict: The fairytale story children love

Rating: 8/10 very short but worth a buy

How does it feel to win FOTM?

I still can't believe people voted for me! It's a big honor and I'm happy to know that people recognize the work I have done for this club.

Do you think you deserved to win? (be honest)

I think that I deserved it, because even when I don't have the time to write articles or make polls e.t.c., I still come to this spot and contribute and I generally try to be as active as I can. But I believe there are users who deserved to be nominated more than I did.

Who is your favorite animated heroine? and why?

Esmeralda. :) Esme is fearless, independent, intelligent, witty, fiery,...
