Nice new banner. Question: Am I the only one that CANT STAND IT when people compare Wizard of Oz to " Wicked"- which I cant stand. Its blasphemous IMO. And its not just with the Wizard of Oz- its all the time, even something remotely similar- THE Wicked fans MENTION IT.

Deanna Durbin my favorite singer has just passed away. She was the first teen star and she became one of the biggest stars of the 30s and early 40s but is is hardly known today because her movies are not often shown on TV. I hope many will get to watch her movies and hear her sing for the first time in the near future. It would be nice if the fans here would all request her movies to be shown on TCM. link

I agree that they should show Deanna Durbin movies on TCM. I love Deanna Durbin, and we own most of her movies and they are just amazing to watch. My favorite by far is "It Started With Eve".over a year ago
I love to watch movies! My favourite movies are "Harry Potter","Diary of a Wimpy kid","Pirates of the Carebean" and "Star Wars" but unlike lots of kids of my generation I also love to watch classic movies and my favourites are "It's a wonderful life","Miracle on 34th Street","Wizard of Oz","Arsenic and Old Lace", and the Hitchcock movies.I want to be a famous movie director in Hollywood when I grow up.Until then I'm gonna watch more & more movies, the new hits & classics!

Ed Lauter On FAMILY PLOT
Did he{Alfred Hitchcock} seem to enjoy working with any of the actors more than others?
He really liked Barbara Harris. Oh, what a good actress – she’s unbelievable. There are such beautiful performances from her like A Thousand Clowns, one of my favorites. Somebody had mentioned to me that she was a little strange but I used to talk with her on the set and what a nice lady; she was so sweet. She had some pain and I was sympathetic towards it.

Hey everybody! If you like Fred Astaire or even Judy Garland, join my club! Its a spot for the movie musical that they made together called "Easter Parade".Judy's voice is AMAZING, especially in the heartbreaking "Better Luck Next Time", and Fred is on top of his game in the wonderfully catchy and comical "Drum Crazy". If you haven't seen this film yet, I reccommend that you do. If you have, then join the club of other enthusiasts!
Has anyone out there ever watched the movie The Ghost and Mrs. Muir with Rex Harrison and Gene Tierney? If so, did you like it? Just wondering because it is one of my favorite movies and I was thinking of creating a club for it. Thanks! :)

I'm not really sure if this is a classic movie(it was made in 1973), but I really recommend watching Paper Moon. It's set in the 1930s and it's so good. It's on Netflix, so you can watch it there if you have it. Have a nice day!

I've just created a spot for Martin Landau, the Oscar winning actor from Burton's 1994 film Ed Wood, in which he played famed actor Bela Legosi. He was also in such classic films Cleopatra, North by Northwest, & The Greatest Story Ever Told just to name a few. I would like to invite fellow fans of this actor to his spot. link

Tonight on TCM Michael J. Fox picks a few of his favorite movies to show. The line up starts at 8 PM and features Dr. Strangelove, Local Hero, The Paralax View, and Kind Hearts and Coronets. All great movies if you haven't seen them. I personally recommend Local Hero since it's so sweet and so little seen. Be sure to DVR these or something!
