Awesome poster, isn't it?
Hi guys, I watched this film about my favourite Austrian composer a few years ago. So, here is my review on the film.
I was taken aback that Mozart was a silly and nerdy young man, we don't really know if he was like that in real life. I love how his interactions with the other characters, especially Antonio Salieri is shown in this film. To which I will discussed it later.
The Costumes & Settings
One thing that I was very happy is that the majority of the costumes are faithful and vivid, but one thing that is completely eyesore was Mozart's wig! It looks like he was electrocuted for the majority of the movie, I seriously could NOT believe it at all.
My favourite was the the setting, as it was shot in Prague and not in both Vienna and Salzburg, Austria. But, it's very pretty overall!
As promised, Salieri and Mozart's relationship are obvious throughout the film. In fact, the former was under suspicions that he murdered the latter by poisoning him. We may never know!
Mozart's relationship with his father, Leopold Mozart was estranged because the latter was demanding, authoritarian and was very much like Simon Cowell of his days! But still, he was a loving father
Some of Mozart's famous works are presented in this movie, so I wouldn't be surprised by it at all.
Mozart Fans, anyone?
So, you are a Mozart fan? I would definitely recommend this film to all of you. As a matter of fact, I had downloaded the Director's Cut of this film so I might want to check it out too.
Dearest Mozart, what's wrong with your wig?
