PART 28: RENESMEE'S POV

I wished I could do something about Jasibell. I wished I could just bring her back to life. But there I sat, a useless pile of dread. I was slowly and painfully getting over the loss of my new born daughter. Even though I loved Jasibell, I knew deep down inside if it were Scarlett who had died, I would not be able to bear it. I had only known Jasibell for a short period of time. I looked across the room at Jacob's pained face. He wanted to be over here with his arm around me, but I had told him to mind my space the last few days because I knew that I was under too much stress to endure it. I had even made him sleep on the couch to clear my mind for mourning. He was in so much pain from being away from me for just this short amount of time...and so I gave in. I was okay at the moment, and I knew he was upset. I nodded and motioned for him to come sit by me. He smiled and ran to the couch. He sat down next to me and put his arm around me. Then he slowly began to kiss me down my jaw line. I realized that I had missed him a lot. This wasn't enough. I turned my head and pressed my lips to his. He pulled me closer. I kissed every visible part of his body. Suddenly we lost control. He lifted me into his arms and ran upstairs to our room.He threw me on the bed and gently unbuttoned his shirt. The he joined me on the bed. I kissed him until I could no longer breathe. Then, as night fell, things became more and more intense.
*** The next morning ***
When I woke up, I was curled into Jacob's arms. He was snoring loudly. I gently slid out of his arms, careful not to wake him, and walked to the closet.
I picked out a short light blue, silky dress, and slid it on. Then I put my hair in pig tails, and slid on my sandals. I stepped out my front door and ran to the Cullen place. When I came in EVERYONE was shocked to see me. When I had been mourning, I only wore my hair down, baggy sweat pants, and t-shirts. Today I was practically back to normal. Of course I was still upset about Jasibell, but not NEAR as much. Jacob had healed me. My eyes searched around the room eagerly until I spotted Scarlett. She was sitting on the floor allowing Alice to brush her hair. When she saw me she jumped out of Alice's arms and into mine. She hadn't seen me the slightest bit happy in the past week at all. "MOMMA!" She yelled. I pressed my hand to her face and "showed" her how much I had missed her. She hugged me tightly and we sat down on the couch. Suddenly my mother appeared at the bottom of the staircase. She ran over to me and wrapped her arms around me. "So sorry." She whispered. I nodded at her, and she left the room.
I could hear her talking to my father in the other room. In my arms, Scarlett twirled my hair round and round giggling as it bounced. I watched as Mom and Dad came into the room and sat across from me. They were holding hands and leaning into each other. The perfect match. Suddenly I began to feel sleepy. Jacob had wore me out last night. Scarlett curled up against me as I slowly slipped into unconsciousness. I dreamed I was in a biology room. I saw my father at the last table staring at the door. He couldn't see me. Then, all of a sudden, my mother entered the room. I could smell her scent. She was human. She walked by the fan and her hair whipped around her. Suddenly my father clasped his hand over his nose and mouth like he had smelt something horrid.A deep frown creased between my mother's eyes. She slowly walked to the back of the room to sit by him. Right when she reached the table, her foot caught on the floor and she tripped. She quickly caught herself as her face turned red with blush. The she sat down next to Dad and looked straight ahead. I watched as he glared at her out of the corner of his eyes. His chair was as far away from hers as it could get. Then I snapped awake. I layed Scarlett in the arm chair next to the couch so I could sit up and looked at my dad. He was explaining my dream to my mother. She gasped and they both turned to look at me. I smiled. "I was thinking about you when I fell asleep. It must have triggered another one of those dreams from the past." I whispered. Then, I played back the dream in my own mind and watched over and over again how the blush spread on my mother's face. Something she could never do again. She had given up her life for the man that glared at her from behind my lids. It was like a book. I wanted to read more into their story. The story of my father and mother. The story of Edward Cullen and Isabella Swan...
