Critical Analysis of POM Article: My Opinion........on Skilene.....

To start this off, let me note that I'm one of the rare skilene-haters on fanpop. I have my reasons for why I don't like it though.
One, Marlene's always annoyed me. She disagrees with almost everything Skipper says, thinks, does.
She's a skeptic of his almost always accurate paranoia.
She always complains about the penguins never knocking. When did she ever knock before coming into their HQ?
Her attitude is almost always sarcastic. Sarcastic people, I'm sorry, I don't hang around them too long.

Their differences: There are many.
Please, please, PLEASE don't leave a comment telling me that two ppl can live together even if they share a certain amount of differences. It just can't work.

Marlene's very much like a hippy. I've ,lost count of the times she's broken up a glaring showdown between Skipper and Julien. (We all know Julien doesn't do anything worth letting well enough alone for).
Skipper would much rather serve justice where it needs to be dished out.

Marlene sides with the other animals and their ideas a good bit.
Skipper has good reasons not to side with them.

[b]In conclusion I'd just like to say that I DO NOT hate Marlene because so many people say she likes Skipper. I just find that annoying of the people themselves but I WILL NOT REPROACH THEIR OPINIONS. They're entitled to what they like and I'm not out to stop them.What I'm saying is that if Marlene liked any other character I'd stil find her annoying.

So to think that she likes Skipper..well that just doesn't work for me. To me it doesn't fit with pom. Skipper's awesome and in my opinion he's too good for her. [b/]

DustyFur12 I think you're just jealous. :/ If you don't like it just ignore it. Why try to find everything you can to bash marlene?? No ones perfect and neither is any relationship. Picking out all the things you dont like about someone is an obvious sign of envy. And thats just MY opinion...

Skiparah ^The reason I did this is because too many people have asked why I hate Skilene. They claim a person shouldn't claim they dislike someone without a reason. They're right. And I have my reasons. I'm just stating my reasons. I'm not jealous of Marlene, I just love Skipper alot and when I see Skilene it's not that I think 'I should be with him, not her and she's so popular'. No, I just don't see the magic in it. And for one thing I truly never liked marlene from the first episode I saw her in. This article wasn't to sway your opinion about what you like, this is a club to share your own opinions, and that's all I'm doing.

TheRatKing1 i LOATHE Skilene. mainly because nearly everyone likes it. i like 99% of the other straight ones, like Dorski, but i hate Skilene and if anyone has a problem with this, i am expressing my opinion. no flames... i burn back .

DustyFur12 ^^Dont tell me to back off. I'm simply saying what i see. Shes not the only one who gets to have an opinion honey. And She wasn't bashing her? Why dont you re-read her post. I just think shes desperate to find something bad about the pairing and marlene. Having an Oc character paired with Skipper isn't helping her case a whole lot either.

I don't understand why, but if that's the way she feels, it's her decision. I'm not going to argue with you about it. Rainshadow999 Once Skipper falls in love, it's like he loses half of his personality, I suggestly to everyone not to thing of Skilene. They'll be disappointed with the end result. It's like I say, once scientists discover how and why the universe exsists, they're gonna be disappointed…I'm not exactly sure about this, but usually people like the thought of something. Does someone want to explain what I can't?
