TheCountess Yes!!! Happy Aniversary to The Avengers, and all involved with its making! That was one of my favorite shows in the 60's, and I still love to watch it. I've pretty much only seen the Emma Peel era of episodes, but some day I'd love to see the others from the series too. Thank you, and you're right about the memories. If I would've been more familar with the other characters, I definitely would have included them in the wallpaper too.

TheCountess I watched it by myself when it first aired. It wasn't anything my Grandma or Grandpa had any interest in. My Grandpa had something else he wanted to watch at the same time (probably some Western or another), so that prompted me to buy my very first portable black & white tv. At that time, I lived in a really small town, and I earned money by doing summertime work in the fields. I had to buy the tv through a mailorder catalogue, but that was one of my very first major purchases ...and all because of 'The Avengers'. lol! ...and love you too, Berni!

MrsEmmaPeel I've watched the show by myself as well. I wasn't even born yet in the 60s, but just discovered the show resently about a year or 2 ago and fell in love with it. But I was already a Diana Rigg fan before. My grandfather use to watch the show back in the 60s. I found this out when we were sitting down watching "The Assassination Bureau" one day and he recogised Diana who played as Mrs Peel right away. lol.

Actually, I'm probably old enough to be the Grandma of most fanpop members. lol! That's cool that you and he watched The Assassination Bureau together. I love Diana in that film!

MrsEmmaPeel If you are then you would be the coolest grandma in the world!!! And I don't think that you are "old". You're still very much young at heart. Thats what keeps you young forever. No matter what the outside might change to. It only counts whats inside most. *hugs*
