 10. Mulan & Shang
"True love begins when nothing is looked for in return." -Antoine de Saint-Exupery
"True love begins when nothing is looked for in return." -Antoine de Saint-Exupery

This really shouldn't come to anybody's surprise. Throughout most of the film Shang believes that Mulan is actually a man. I don't doubt for one second that they don't love and respect each other, but we don't get to see any romance between them (not including the sequel). They never dance, never serenade each other with a romantic song.
"I like that Mulan's and Shang's Love story starts with a friendship - not that we see much of the actual love story, but what's there is sooooo sweet." -Swanpride

"How do Mulan and Shang not have a love story people??? They're one of the greatest examples of true love in Disney! It's one of the best, most complicated ones too. And Shang is like the only prince to really grow to appreciate the princess for her mind and actions rather than her feminine looks. He falls for her because he's attracted to strong women!" -dweeb

9. Tiana & Naveen
"When you like someone, you like them in spite of their faults. When you love someone, you love them with their faults." -Elizabeth Cameron
"When you like someone, you like them in spite of their faults. When you love someone, you love them with their faults." -Elizabeth Cameron

Although they make a beautiful couple, not too many of you were impressed by their love story. They have the whole love/hate thing going for them throughout most of the movie. Naveen's laziness and arrogance drive Tiana mad, and he seems to not think very highly of her because she is a waitress. Most people don't understand how their relationship developed into love. One minute they can't stand each other, and then all of a sudden they don't care about being frogs for the rest of their lives, as long as they can be together. I'm sorry, but I don't think any man is worth me having to be a dang frog for all eternity!

"An okay love story, but I hate how they are always fighting about something, that makes the love story less interesting to me and I don't like the fact that they didn't love each other in the beginning and how they at one second loves each other, but than the next second they don't like each other at all." -sweetie-94

"I hate how one scene they hate each other so much then the next he wants to marry her." -iHyrule

"I don't see how their relationship developed into love. That would be ok if it was love at first sight, but clearly it isn't, they've been thrown together just for the sake of it." -milky-way

8. Cinderella & Prince Charming
"Love is like a tranquil breeze that sweeps over my soul making me whole." -Unknown Author

No one I know will argue the fact that Cinderella deserved her romantic night at the Ball, and her getting her happy ending...but there isn't really anything interesting about hers and Prince Charming's love story. The three classic Princesses may not have relatable or interesting love stories like some of the modern Princesses; they pretty much all have the "love at first sight" thing going for them, but Snow White and Aurora's stand out slightly more than Cinderella's. Her and Charming had a romantic evening at the ball, and that's about it. At least Snow's Prince searched for her, and Aurora and Phillip were betrothed to each other when they met, but didn't know it.

"I love Cinderella's love story. Its what love at first sight means. When they meet its like they were made for each other, and what i really love is that Cinderella  didnt even know that she dances with the prince. It is so magical!" -ariel306842

" This love story is kind of creepy. Nobody ever asks Cinderella if she wants to marry the prince, everyone just assumes that she does. (Well, she wants, but someone should ask her nevertheless)." -Swanpride

7. Snow White & The Prince
"A kiss makes the heart young again and wipes out the years." - Rupert Brooke
"A kiss makes the heart young again and wipes out the years." - Rupert Brooke

I'm a little surprised that these two lovebirds made it so high; but I'm glad. I thought this because they have very little interaction in the movie, but those few minutes left an impact on most fans. They truly appear to be head over heels for each other. They don't even speak, and after Snow White disappears the Prince searches far and wide for her. And when he finds her "dead" and in the beautiful coffin her beloved Dwarfs made her, he kisses her goodbye, and hangs his head down, clearly heartbroken that his true love is dead. When she wakes up and they look into each others eyes...words really can't express the joy on their sweet faces.

"I think it's cute, but she's so young and it's so juvenile. I do like them though." -phantomrose89

"These two on the other hand...it's just weird. The prince just pops up at the end and kisses her dead body...creepy. Just because you had a brief encounter serenading some girl half your age doesn't mean you should kiss her corpse!" -dweeb

6. Jasmine & Aladdin
"You know you've found love when you look in their eyes and find yourself." -Monique Patton
"You know you've found love when you look in their eyes and find yourself." -Monique Patton

Jasmine and Aladdin meet in a sweet and funny way. He saves her in the market place from getting her hand chopped off by pretending she is his crazy sister. They share a sweet moment at his hideaway and the guards rush in on them. This is where things start to go downhill for me and a lot of people. Aladdin finds out the girl he saved is Princess Jasmine, and for the longest time he does his best to impress her.

"Okay, after thinking long and hard I go for them.
1. In many regards the relationship is very shallow. Aladdin is all "Hey, look how many shiny toys I have", which is frankly slightly insulting. All those lies - at the end of the movie it doesn't feel like they really know each other. Which would be only excusable if their relationship were created in fairy tale style." -Swanpride

"I thought Jasmine was strong but than she stayed with a guy who lied to her too many times!" -iHyrule

"Not an interesting love story to me, their first meeting is interesting, but I hate how Aladdin lies all the time to Jasmine and that makes the love story less interesting." -sweetie-94

5. Pocahontas & John Smith
"He felt now that he was not simply close to her, but that he did not know where he ended and she began." -Leo Tolstoy
"He felt now that he was not simply close to her, but that he did not know where he ended and she began." -Leo Tolstoy

The star-crossed lovers come in at number five. I wish they we higher, but that's how it was voted! They are often compared to one William Shakespeare's most famous pieces, "Romeo and Juliet". It's a classic story of forbidden love. Pocahontas and John Smith long to be together, but find it extremely difficult since their people hate each other with a flaming passion. They have to sneak off together, which in my opinion just makes it more romantic. At the end as John is about to be executed, Pocahontas throws herself on top of him, telling her Father if he kills John that he will have to kill her as well. She makes him realize that hate has brought them to this point, and he has a change of heart. Unfortunately, the Governor doesn't want to give up so easy, and aims his gun at the Cheif. John Smith jumps in front of the bullet, badly injuring himself, but saving his beloveds Father. He must return to England, and Pocahontas decides to stay with her people. They share a tearful, passionate goodbye, and he sails away as Pocahontas watches from her famous cliff.

"I never really got the love story - if Pocahontas is so in love, why does she keep silent for so long instead of defending John from the very beginning? Plus, it's like a badly made version of Romeo and Juliet." -Swanpride

4. Rapunzel and Flynn
"How beautiful life can be when touched by love." -Tiffany Anderson
"How beautiful life can be when touched by love." -Tiffany Anderson

These two have a comical meeting. Flynn comes across Rapunzel's tower while trying to find a place to hide. As soon as he thinks he is safe, *BAM*! He gets whacked on the head with an iron frying pan. Rapunzel convinces him to take her to see the floating lights in order to get back his satchel containing the crown. They go on an amazing journey, and believe it or not, they fall in love...I know, huuuuge shock! At the end Flynn makes the ultimate sacrifice by cutting off Rapunzel's hair, destroying Mother Gothel and the chance of her being able to save his life. Luckily she had a little bit of magic left in her, and he is saved. He returns her to her parents and eventually they get married (according to the short!).

"Rapunzel and Flynn is the only story with which I really understand on what this love is based. Rapunzel and Flynn work together during the whole movie, first because they have to, but after they shared a near death experience and opened up to each other about their biggest and deepest secrets, they do it out of real affection. I love how Rapunzel call Flynn Eugene, signalising him that she likes his true self better than the made up one. I love how Flynn organizes the perfect viewing point for her. And I love how both are ready to make great sacrifies for each other." -Swanpride

3. Aurora & Phillip
"Love is the enchanted dawn of every heart."-Alphonse Marie Louis de Lamartine
"Love is the enchanted dawn of every heart."-Alphonse Marie Louis de Lamartine

I am totally in love with Aurora and Phillip's love story. They are betrothed at birth, then go on their separate ways and grow up. They have a romantic chance meeting in the forest, having no clue whatsoever that they are engaged. They are separated again, and Aurora discovers she is a Princess, promised to marry a Prince. She is absolutely distraught that she will never see the boy of her dreams again; she pricks her finger, and the next thing she knows, she is waking up to Phillips smoking hot lips pressed to hers. I'm not sure about you girls (and maybe some of you guys!), but I sure as heck wouldn't mind waking up to something like that. She is one lucky girl. She is reunited with her birth parents, and she and her real Dream Prince dance off into their happily ever after.

"A little bit creepy, but still an okay love story. I like how they didn't knew that they where meant for each other from the day Aurora was born, but they still ended up with each other." -sweetie-94

" I'm SO glad to see a Classic Princess in the top three :)
I love Aurora and Phillip's story...betrothed since her birth, meeting in the forest but not knowing they are engaged, then her waking up to see him smiling down at her...it's beautifully romantic...I just like the other two a little bit better. I'm very satisfied with the top three." -DreamyGal

2. Ariel & Eric
"I came alive when I started loving you." -C.S. Lewis
"I came alive when I started loving you." -C.S. Lewis

I couldn't agree more with the top two...they are definitely the best, in my personal opinion. Ariel stands out from the rest because she pursues her Prince; not the other way around. She had always been fascinated with humans, and their way of living, but after she sees Eric, it only intensifies. She saves him from drowning, and falls in love with him. She makes a deal with Ursula, trading her voice for a pair a legs and three days for a chance to win his heart. Just as he is forgetting about the girl with the voice who saved his life, and begins to fall for Ariel, "Vanessa" enters the picture, which of course is Ursula in disguise. They battle it out, Eric defeats Ursula, and King Triton does one of the hardest things a parent can do; he lets Ariel go...to live the life she wants, with who else, but PORN...come on...you know I had to throw that in here at some point! She and Eric get married, and she sports a big, pouffy, typical eighties style wedding gown. They sail off under a rainbow and live happily ever after...she is so lucky.

"I love their first meeting, it's so romantic, but if they had a little more dialouge between each other it would be more interesting, but it's still a great love story." -sweetie-94

1. Belle & The Beast
"A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses." -Unknown Author
"A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses." -Unknown Author

*sighs* My all time favorite love story and Disney movie! There are so many lyrics from the films signature song that explain this couple and their story. "Barely even friends, then somebody bends, unexpectedly...". These two don't start off skipping off into the sunset, or gazing into each others eyes. Belle is frightened by the Beast at first, and he finds her to be difficult. After they break the ice though, they slowly become friends, and out of the friendship comes love. I think she finally realizes how strong her feelings for him are when he is dying on the balcony, and she is losing him. Unfortunately, that's how it is for most of us in real life...don't realize how good you have it, or how much you love someone until they are gone. She whispers "I love you" as one big tear rolls down her beautiful face, just as the last petal falls...perfect timing , right? He is transformed into a beautiful man; his curse is broken because he has learned to love and earned her love in return.

"I love how their love for each other grows over time, though I still prefer love at first sight. It's an unic love story because at first I thought it was impossible for them to fall in love with each other, but in the end they ended up with each other." -sweetie-94

"Belle && Adam: My favorite<3. They actually took the time to fall in love." -Pink_Love
