This is an article expressing my opinion about some of the renaissance princesses most exaggerated attributes. I may do this for the other DP's, but I thought I'd start with the 3 that get a lot of flack. I feel that while the renaissance princesses have a lot of fans, they also have many haters. This is my opinion, and I know it's not very popular, but try not to be too negative. c:

Ariel

Ariel is known universally as being the brat among the bunch. Though, honestly, I don't see how she's that big of a brat. She has been wanting to go on land for years, and years, and when the chance arises, she takes it. People say that she abandons her duty as princess, but I don't find that true either. Ariel has six other sisters to take the thrown, so the kingdom is still left in good hands. Also, if anything, she was just impulsive and naive. I feel that people should really cut Ariel some slack, and just realize she was doing what she thought was best.

Belle

When asked what Belle's fatal flaw is, people always answer, "She's such a snob." In which I say, whaaaaaaaat? Yes she uses big words, so what? She reads, and learns big vocabulary, and then adds it into her speech..It's really not that uncommon. Also, people say that she only likes people who read. Where is the evidence of that? Just because she doesn't connect with the townspeople, doesn't mean that reading is the reason. Belle seems very polite and kind, and I think when people say that she's a snob, they're just trying to come up with a flaw so she's not deemed as perfect. I think that she's probably the most perfect Disney Princess, but if anything her that is her flaw.

Jasmine

Jasmine's in the same boat as Ariel, nearly everyone thinks she's a spoiled brat. I actually think that she's a strong, independent woman trying to stand up for herself. She is in a situation where her dad is trying to marry her off, so she has to do something. This is my favorite attribute of Jasmine, she stands up for what she believes in, and tells it how it is. This isn't being a brat. Being a brat means being petty about small things, but marriage is a very important thing so I think Jasmine has a right to stand up for herself.

"WHAT?" Jasmine shoots up from the chair she was sitting in.
The girls all stare at Philip, then as what he said begins to sink in, they all get thrown into a frenzy.
"Stop! Stop! Stop" Belle had to shout several times before she can make herself heard "This is no time to panic, we have to figure out what's going on!"
"Yes," Pocahontas agreed "Tell us more, Philip."
"We were packing our bags, and I went out of the room to get something. When I came back, Aurora was gone!" Philip said.
"Um, is there a clue to where she could've gone?" Rapunzel asked.
"Have ye thought about the possiblity that she...

I wrote my original getting to know me article in June, so I think it's a good time to write a new one. I decided that even if I do get my vampiras account back, it would be foolish to switch to that one now since I have a lot of fans and a medal on this one.

Name: Astrid Marilyn Valiant
Age: 16, sophomore

Other Personal Info: I live in small-town Delaware, the most boring place in the universe. Most of the people here are pretty conservative, and I'm a pansexual Goth girl that likes Disney Princesses, so as you can imagine I don't really get along with a lot of people here. I'm also a manic...

What's a Disney Princess?
What's a Disney Princess?
What makes a Disney Princess?

There are several points that make a Disney female character a Disney Princess;
She must be produced by hand drawing, she must sing at least once in her movie (in solo or duet) and she must either be born to royalty or marry into royalty or in some cases, both.

The OTPs

Princess Snow White, Princess Aurora, Princess Ariel and Princess Cinderella were all painfully hand drawn by the Disney artists and were animated to have at least one song meeting the technical side of their requirements. Princess Snow White, Princess Aurora, Princess Ariel were born to royalty and...

Hola!

For those of you who don't know me, I'm AprilGhost, and here is a list of people who, in my opinion, look like Disney princesses.

A few things, first:
1. I have not cast Pocahontas. This is partly because it is so hard to find Native American models/actresses, but also because she was a real person. I think it's insulting to dreamcast her.
2. Yes, some of these are, in fact, models. I'm not saying that these people should play the princesses; I'm just saying that that's how I imagine them.
3. I haven't dreamcasted Elsa or Merida since I can't find anyone who looks like them.

On with the list!...
