So, I decided I don't contribute nearly enough, probably because I lose at everything. But despite the awfulness that is me, I still want to write more articles. So, here are my opinions about Snow White. It'll be long, rambling, and I doubt any of you will read it all the way through, but here it is anyway. In the slim chance that anyone is interested.

MacytheStrange's Opinions On Snow White

To some people, Cinderella has always represented someone making the best out of a bad situation. For me, it's Snow White. She's only fourteen and she's made to dress in clothes that are falling apart (and she still looks stylish, but that's another matter). She's made to do work like a scullery maid, when for the past fourteen years she was royalty. Snow White could be bitter and angry about this, but she isn't. While doing her chores, Snow seems to transport herself to a fantasyland of wishing wells, similar to Belle living in the adventures of her books and Aurora living her dreams in, well, her dreams.

Snow White is optimistic, saying that all you have to do is make a wish on a wishing well. This may not be a realistic attitude to take to things, but the girl is barely a teenager, and she's an orphan. There doesn't really seem to be any town or village around that she could viably run away to, and even if she did run away, she'd be running from the queen, who could easily track her. So, instead she just makes the best out of a bad situation.

And, unlike some of the Disney Princesses such as Aurora, who immediately dance with the randomly appearing man, when the Prince randomly trespasses into the castle Snow White doesn't immediately just start ballroom dancing with him. She, out of some mixture of shyness at being caught in ratty clothes and GODDAMNED COMMON SENSE, runs back inside while he does his spiel about 'one love'. And then, once she decides that she likes the guy, she goes out onto the balcony to be serenaded. And sends him a kiss via dove. But at least she doesn't start dancing with him seconds after meeting him. That is a relief.

Another thing I love about Snow White is her kindness towards others. This is first showcased in the scene right before the Huntsman attempts to assassinate her, when she hears the lost baby bird crying for help. This is also the first sign of her motherly nature, when she runs to it, cradles it her her arms and immediately asks where its parents are. Obviously, it can't tell her in words, and Snow keeps the animal company, telling it to perk up at being separated from it's parents, much as Snow White herself has had to 'perk up' after losing both of her parents. Then she discovers the location of the bird's parents and points them out to the baby bird, bidding it farewell as it flutters away. This scene is one of my favorites in the movie, as it showcases her motherly, sympathetic yet firm (she is quite firm to the bird about it being optimistic about it's situation), generous personality.

One thing I don't like about Snow White's critics is their opinion that she was weak for being so scared by the harmless forest. This is not weakness, this is being human. Snow White is fourteen. She just found that a powerful queen wanted her dead, and she had just had a knife pointed at her by a scary-looking guy. She had just run away from everything she knew, which would be difficult no matter how bad your life was, and into a dark, probably dangerous forest to which one could assume she'd never ventured. Add to that the fact that it was dark, and the EFFING TWO STORY DROP INTO SWAMP WATER, and anyone would be a bit more than upset after that ordeal. Hey, I'm her age and I'd be just traumatized.

And then, after that experience which most adults probably wouldn't be able to handle, Snow White still does not complain or dwell on her own bad life. Instead, she apologizes to the woodland animals for frightening them, which just shows how much she cares for others. She then asks her new woodland friends for advice on how to cheer up, and after singing 'A Smile and A Song', she is filled with optimism and says that she knows she'll 'get along somehow'. I think this is super admirable, something terrible happened to her, she had her cry, and then she sang herself back into happiness and gets back to the matter at hand, looking for shelter.

Snow White then shows some of her infamous yet often disputed manipulative side, getting her newfound woodland friends to help her survive. And yes, another thing Snow's critics never really seem to remember is that she literally had to survive in the woods after she was nearly killed. Not many people could survive in the woods, especially after a scary experience, but Snow overcame it and put her skills to use finding a shelter.

Then Snow White finds her shelter, and once again we see her insecurity and desire for people to like her as she fluffs her hair to make herself look presentable before she knocks on the door of the dwarves' cottage. And then, when there is no one home, she meekly steps inside (trespassing: one thing her and her prince have in common!). Then, as all the animals and her are cautiously looking around the house, Snow frightens them by exclaiming "Oh!" and when they run away, she adds "What a cute little chair!" and giggles. I love this bit, it kinda seems to me like she was trying to trick them for fun.

We then see her maternal side again when she immediately assumes that the seven people who live in the cottage must be children, and is upset at the thought that they might have no mother. I think this is because she herself has no mother, and knows how bad it is not to have one. Then, being the generous princess she is, she decides to clean their house to surprise them. However, this isn't to the sole means of being kind, she also hopes that with this kindness she could get them to let her stay. This, to me, shows that she can be a bit manipulative and not 'just sweet' as some like to say.

Snow then cleans the house with the help of the woodland creatures, whistling as she works. Snow often gets criticized for taking the simple task of sweeping and having the animals do the rest, but Snow White is the only human there, and I don't think birds and deer can sweep. Snow White also seems to be something of a delegator, which is a fancy way of saying that she's kind of bossy. But in a good way. And, as the animals work, she always scolds them when they cut corners such as licking plates clean and sweeping dust under rugs. This shows one thing: Snow White don't take your crap. And, the animals listen to her immediately. Snow White would DEFINITELY be good at running a business.

Later, after she is awoken by the suspicious dwarves, Snow White is friendly and cordial, saying 'how do you do', but when the dwarves do not respond she chides them for not answering. And then she says to the distrustful and, well, grumpy Grumpy, in a slightly teasing tone "you must be Grumpy!" while crossing her arms in imitation of him. I also love this side of Snow White, this teasing, silly side. And then, when she senses that she might be kicked back out of this potentially nice home, she bribes the dwarves with pies. Some people criticize her for doing nothing but cooking and cleaning, but she's in a bad situation and those are the skills she has to work with. If you have skills, you should make use of them. And, later, when the dwarves tell her that they'd washed 'recently', Snow either tells that they are lying, or is just smart enough to check. Either way, she once again bribes them to wash with the promise of food.

And, after dinner, she laughs and dances with the dwarves as well as sings and tells the story of her and her prince, a scene I love because it shows Snow White's dreamy and romantic nature. And later she shows her maternal side, telling the dwarves that it is their bedtime. When they offer her their beds she is hesitant, but she takes their offer after they insist. Another sweet scene is when she is praying before she goes to sleep, and blesses the seven dwarves who took her in. She pays special attention to the one dwarf who doesn't seem to like her, saying "Oh, and please let Grumpy like me." This is the best example in the film of how much she wants people to like her.

And, he does seem to like her, as he warns her about strangers like all the other dwarves when they go off to work. Snow White seems pleased that he cared, as she always likes people who like her. Later, when she deliberately disregards the advice the dwarves gave her, she was certainly making a mistake. But, it is only one mistake, and basically every Disney Princess has one mistake. To be honest, I think people judge Snow White either too harshly or too lightly as far as Snow White eating the apple is concerned.

And, after the prince awakes her and before he (ironically, this is what Snow wished for when she bit the apple) takes her away to his castle, Snow White hasn't forgotten the dwarfs, and she gives each one a kiss on the head and a farewell before she goes off to her happy ending. A happy ending that she deserves.

So, yeah. That was basically my long, rambling opinion on Snow White. I really love her, she's fourth on my list, and I hope I did her justice in this. I love Snow White's multi-faceted personality, her determination, her manipulative and bossy side, her generous and sweet side, all of it! So, yeah. I hope you enjoyed the article.

The End!
The End!
The girls stare for a second, all of a sudden Merida bursts out laughing. All the girls turn and stare at her. Snow White casts bewildered glances at Hades, then Merida. Hades, then Merida. Merida continues laughing, and at one point falls off her chair. She snorts in her laughter. Aurora winces, she is a very proper princess, and isn't a huge fan of un-princess-like behaviour.
"What's so funny?" Hades asks. When o one replies, he clears his throat and says "Hello, girls. As you know, I am Hades, and-"
Merida finally gets up from the floor, but she is still laughing. When she is finally...

I was in the mood to do another countdown, so I came up with a Disney Heroine one. This was about the Heroine (Protagonists, Deuteragonists, Tritagonists) who would fit in with the Disney Princesses (and the franchise the most), so here are the results.

These are the factors that were counted in the results:
By any factor, I mean:
-How successful the movie is
-If she is a Princess
- If she is popular
- If she is personally like some of the Princesses
- Is she too young or old

10. Nani (Lilo and Stitch)

She was definitely the obvious choice to be the first eliminated, and for many reasons....

I've been wanting to write an article about my favorite DPs for a while now, but I've been very busy lately (and still am a little, so it won't be a very long article, just a brief commentary with every princess).
This is my favorite disney princesses' list as of April 2013, with the current line-up. To determine my favorite princesses I took many things in to account: their personality, their looks, their movie, etc.
As with many other things, this list is subject to change. My favorites are generally pretty consistent, but some of them might move a spot or more every once in a while.
So, without...

I've been listening to this album a lot of times and it's possibly my favorite album of all time, pretty much all the songs are just amazing and something I noticed in all the songs (and scores since a couple of the tracks are only music) except 2 is that they could suit each one of the princesses so I decided to write an article about which one of the 11 songs that suits each princess the best. I will of course post links to each song so that you can listen to them, anyway let's get started :)

I absolutely love her speaking voice but her singing isn't as impressive. But that's just in comparison to the other princesses.

8. Cinderella
It sounds like an angel's singing. It's so gentle and...

So Mulan is my favorite Disney Princess movie but this is not about which movie I like more. It's about which movie is better objectively, I will try my best. I'm not going to nitpick every single little details because let's face it, no movie is really perfect. Besides, I hate going on and on because I'd rather cut to the chase. I'd love to read your agreements or disagreements.

10. Pocahontas
10. Pocahontas

The film had a lot of potential, shame it did not live up to most people's expectations. I absolutely love the animation and score. But aside from those things, a lot of stuff happened out of nowhere....

Hey everyone! I know it's officially 2013, but I decided to make this the favorite hairstyle of 2012 since the year just ended and January and February are when they have all the award shows for 2012 so it's kind of the same idea. Here are the last 10 places for the hairstyle countdown.

51. Ariel's Blue Riding Hat

obviously...this is ugly. No one liked it, it was not a tough decision whatsoever. Good place for this one...dead last.

Her heart had been angered and completely disappointed.
Snow fell in a calm way, soothing Belle. Her heart had been angered and completely disappointed. Though Beast had come a long way since his transformation, there was still a part of him that was very dark and almost hurtful. She couldn’t understand why Beast was often angry, when he had everything he could ever want.
“Maybe I’m not seeing him right. Maybe I just don’t understand.” Belle pondered. “Maybe there really is a part of him I don’t know.”
She refused to believe Beast was bad. He was human just like anyone else and Belle loved him.

So I decided to rant about Snow White next.

Snow White was the very first animated female to make it to the big screen. If any of the princesses were to be called legendary, Snow White would be the one. She paved the way for every Disney Herione, princess or not. Pick any other female character from Disney and I guarantee you she'll have something in common with Snow White. Cinderella, Aurora, Pocahontas, Belle and even Jasmine would probably be completely different characters had it not been for Snow.

Let's talk about the dwarfs for a second, like the fairies from Sleeping Beauty,...

Me after I had ranned a 5K race, I did it in 26 minutes!
So today I decided to redo my getting to know article since I've gotten better at making articles and I missed out a few things and some things has changed.

Name: My name is Teresa and I kinda like the name :)

Age: *Kinda quoting The Sound of Music* I am 17 going on 18 which means that I'm 17, but I'll be 18 on September 16th so that makes me a Virgo and I'm borned in the year of the dog.

Education: Right now I have summer vacation, but on the 22nd August I'll be back in school again and I'll start my last year in high school.

This is actually very close from where I live, it's a place where you can watch animals and enjoy nature :)

I'm a bit reluctant to do this list because quite frankly no one gives a crap about the Princes. Plus this list is way too easy to write. I really don't enjoy talking about them. Let's just get on with it.
Are you on your period, dude?
Are you on your period, dude?

10.Charming
The most generic character in history. Of course this dude is at the bottom of the list. It would be weird to rank him any higher. He has little to no personality and when he does show some emotion, he comes off snarky and rude. He's also lazy if you ask me, he never makes an effort to go after or search for Cinderella. Seriously, what do all the...

10. Pocahontas
I really like Pocahontas, but somebody has to be at the bottom, right? I love her courage and I loved it when she jumped off the cliff. I also love her hair, black is so beautiful and how it moves with the wind is just breathtaking. The reason she's at the bottom is because I...

It was a beautiful morning in May, and Belle felt like getting out of the castle for a while. She decided to go to town and visit her Papa. She felt a bit guilty; being a newlywed, she hadn’t visited him very often, but that was all about to change. Walking through the quiet village felt very strange to Belle now. People looked at her differently. They respected her now…looked up to her even. Not too long ago she was considered the town freak. As she walked up the path to the house she grew up in, she heard a lot of commotion coming from the attic. “What is my...

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs:
Ah, the first Disney Classic. Now, I'll be honest. I'm not a gigantic fan of this film. I do like Snow White, she's simply adorable. However, this film is probably my least favorite DP one and probably only because it was the first of Disney's, meaning not as good animation as say, Aladdin. Anyway, my favorite scene for this movie has to be the first five or so minutes before the Forest Scene. It's short, but we get to understand the true meaning of how evil the Queen really is.

1. ARIEL

Ariel is a fun girl who goes for her dream. She has been my fave from age nine. Though age 3-5 was Cinderella, Ariel just reminds me of, well... me! She has red hair, my hair is almost red, (more of Anastasia's hair from the Anastasia Fox film) so me and Ariel are almost the same. I would love love LOVE to be her if they were going to make a remake. She has a great way of getting her man without a voice. When she fell her caught her and offered her to stay. She could even get her father to understand. Her floppy bangs are so ADORABLE. She is known to be the only disney princess (in...

One winter night,Rapunzel and Eugene had a baby.
They called her "April".
Well,at least she grew up to 6 years old with them.
But................the,EVIL Mother Gothel was still the same! She returned somehow. That night,April got kidnapped!(she was sleeping and did not noticed)
6 years kidnapped! 6+6=12 years old was April.
She always had a DAY DREAM about her parents.
She tried to runaway, but the evil Mother Gothel raised her the same way with Rapunzel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She told April that the world was dangerous with horrible selfish people. One day April said: "I had enough! I'm leaving." Mother Gothel got red in her face.(like a tomato)April said this with full of anger: "Get red as a tomato, because I don't care.I'm gonna live my life,'cause this is my life not yours.I'll return somehow back to my REAL family."
The next day, Ariel was in homeroom and some guy who was sitting next to blondie asked Ariel "Hey, is that your natural hair color?"
Ariel replied "Yeah."
"It's gorgeous." the guy replied back.
"This is Flynn or you can call him Eugene. We're dating at the mo." The blondie said.
"Hey Rapunzel, nice extensions. What's it made of?" said a dude who walked past Rapunzel.
She quickly said "Your mom's chest hair!!!" (Not really)
"I'm Rapunzel."
"Hi, I'm Ariel. Do you guys know where Room G is?"
Flynn took and looked at Ariel's agenda and said "Health Tuesday/Thursday Room G"
"I think it's in the back building."...
