For those of you who don't know me, I'm AprilGhost, and here is a list of people who, in my opinion, look like Disney princesses.
A few things, first: 1. I have not cast Pocahontas. This is partly because it is so hard to find Native American models/actresses, but also because she was a real person. I think it's insulting to dreamcast her. 2. Yes, some of these are, in fact, models. I'm not saying that these people should play the princesses; I'm just saying that that's how I imagine them. 3. I haven't dreamcasted Elsa or Merida since I can't find anyone who looks like them.
This is a series I'm starting, I did some research, I'm not gonna say I was 100% thorough, and tried my best with each princess. Some of them were easy, some were harder than others. I won't talk about Anna and Elsa because 1. I hate to say it but it's hard to pin Elsa anywhere and 2. The less princesses to write about, the easier for me. Let's go.
Snow White-Earth She was difficult because she shows aspect of water, fire and earth. Ultimately I went with the latter, Snow White is motherly, practical and the most grounded classic princess. She's doesn't have her mind in the clouds as much....
Alright, this is going to contain critical and possibly controversial opinions about Frozen and Tangled, as well as other things, so if you can't stand to hear these movies badmouthed I'd suggest that you skip this article. Now that you've been suitably warned, on with the article! ___________________________________________
The first that you see of new Disney characters is almost always through promotional rendered images, so that's where we are going to start in this dissection of Disney's character design.
To begin, let's look at some of the earlier promotional art of Elsa and Anna:...
Why don't they sell princess dresses like these? I'd buy the heck out of these!
Since it's Veteran's Day, I thought I'd use some rare time off to write an article. The only article idea I could think of that wouldn't take all day to research and explore would be a list of princess "peasant" dresses rated in order from the ones I like least to the one I'm seriously considering commissioning my Ren Faire friends to sew for me.
Most people seem to love the princesses' fancy, sparkly, poofy ballgowns, or their iconic princess dresses. I personally was never a fan. I'm a real stickler for comfort and practicality. Ballgowns tend to be made with a material I find uncomfortable...
Recently, I saw a poll on this club about which House Rapunzel would be in at Hogwarts, which got me thinking about that question in relation to all the princesses. I’m an avid Harry Potter fan, so I figured I would lend my unique insights on the matter to all of you lovely people.
But before I begin my analyses, it’s time for some disclaimers!
1. About the Houses. Here’s how I tend to think of the Houses of Hogwarts. (Note: I will be saying the most about Slytherin, since Slytherin is most often distorted.)
So,a lot of users on Fanpop did its' opinion on Frozen,so I wanted to write my own opinion on that movie, too. It's the newest Disney movie, and there's a lot of arguments on it,so I tought that I can make my thoughts on it. I want to state that this is just MY opinion,I don't mean to hurt or hate anybody. Also, forgive me for few mistakes,English isn't my native language. Enjoy :)
I like Frozen.I don't love it,but I like it.The story is okay,the characters are good,and that's it.I enjoyed watching it,but I don't think that Frozen is perfect. This article will be spread in 3 parts:Characters,Story and...
Okay, so a lot of people have been doing these, and I wanted to write a new article before I finished my countdown of the smartest Disney Princesses, so I'm going to be doing this. Anyways, keep in mind this is just my opinion. Enjoy the article! :)
She may be my favorite Disney Princess, but I am definitely not a fan of her design. In my opinion, her face is completely changed, it's made sort of chubby, with more rosy cheeks. Her hair looks different, and I do like the outfit, but I don't think it suits her, I don't think her appearance is unappealing to look at or anything,...
Hey guys! I've been meaning to write an article about my favorite Princess wardrobes for a while, but there were two major problems. The first problem was that I didn't know where to place them, and the second problem was pure freaking laziness. But, I finally decided to stop being lazy, get my crap together, and write the list. Sequels will not be included, which sadly means I won't be including my favorite Rapunzel outfit, her wedding dress. And, oh yeah, Anna and Elsa will be included. Sue me. So, let's get started! *Note* Please excuse awful collages.
