I already made my top Disney villains countdown, and now I will be making my top Disney villain song
countdown! Making this list was actually very hard, because I love all the songs. I started this article last year. Since I became busy with school and activities, I put a delay on it. Now it is FINALLY here. BE PREPARED!
Vanessa's Song- Sung by Ursula/Vanessa from The Little Mermaid
Gaston- Sung by Gaston from tBeauty and the Beast
10. Mine,Mine, Mine
Villain - Governer Radcliffe from Pocahontas
Radcliffe is something else. Only he would boast about himself while singing about ruining the Native Americans homes while he gets all the gold and riches and becomes king. Oh please none of that happened. But this song is catchy and the familiar tune of it makes it loved by many.
9.Your'e Only Second Rate
I love how Jafar makes it clear, that no matter what the Genie can do, his powers are now more powerful than his and that he can't beat him. Jafars voice is AMAZING in the song as usual and the beat is just so catchy.
8.Prince Ali Reprise-
This song may be short, but Jafar's language and his voice makes it everything to be in my top 10. I especially love Jafar's evil laugh at the end because it shows after all these times of trying he finally gets what he wants, although we know that wont last for long right Aladdin?
7.Mother Know's Best Reprise
Villian- Mother Gothel from Tangled
The first female Disney villain song on this list. Mothers know Best is an amazing song! But its the reprise
that gives me chills all over. In the beginning, the tone goes from happy and joyful to dark and scary. This song is the song that causes Rapunzel to question Flynn thanks to Gothel's manipulative nature.
6.Friends on the Other Side
Villian- Dr. Faciler from The Princess and the Frog
This song is the Disney villain comeback song for the revival Era! It is upbeat, mesmerizing and in all just thrilling. Friends on the Other Side is very similar to Poor Unfortunate Souls, and Ursula is very similar to Facilier. Faciler is the skinny, male and darker version of Ursula! In their villain songs, they both explain the deals to the people they are trying to trick very rapidly, not giving them the slightest hint of what they are really in for. But for me, Friends on the Other Side is higher because of its lyrics, its upbeat tempo, and Faciler's smooth voice. I especially love the ending. The song is really like the more modern version of Poor Unforunate Souls which makes me love it.
5. My Lullaby
Villain- Zira from the Lion King II
The best Disney villain song in a Disney sequel. the beat and tune of the song is just far to great to comprehend. I love how the song shows how much Zira admires and worships Scar with the lyrics, "Scar is gone, but Zira is still around", because she wants to take after him. This girl is totally ruthless, just like Ursula.
4.Poor Unfortunate Souls
Coming in at number 4 is one of the most iconic Disney Songs, Poor Unfortunate Souls. This song opens with 16-year-old Ariel desperate to become a human, which is exactly with sassy villain Ursula needs to lure her into her trap. Ursula does a great job telling Ariel the plan, by not exactly telling
Ariel the plan. Get what I mean? She sugar-codes everything, almost when it's at the point where it seem like Ursula is a good person. By the end of the song, Ursula gets exactly what she wants.
Villian- Ursula from The Little Mermaid
Savages in mindblowing! The song accurately represents the hatred between the Native Americans and settlers ad it also shows fear, anger and disgust. Its amazing how this song comes right after the climax and how everything bad that has happened in Pocahontas so far is leading to this.
Villian- Scar from The Lion King
Banzai- "What are we supposed to do, kill Mufasa?"
This song is completely awesome. It screams murder. It tells of Scars menacing plan to kill Mufasa and take over Pride Rock. I also love this song because it shows that Scar is the smartest character in his movie. He carefully manipulates the hyena's into helping him carry out his plan. He is smaller and weaker than Mufasa, but he still managed to kill him. Some brain he has there.
And coolsinger198's favorite Disney villain song is...
Villian- Judge Claude Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Hellfire. This is by far the best Disney villain song, and there will never be a villain song that can top it. The song has such a strong message. Not a good one though. It tells about Frollo's lust for Esmeralda, and that we would do anything to make her his, including killing her.
The fact that it happens right after Heavens Light makes it better. If you think of it, it is kind of a reprise to Heavens Light. Quasi talks about his joyful feelings toward Esmeralda in Heaven's Light, and Frollo talks about his confusing, lustful feelings for Esmeralda. The beat and tone of the song is just so catchy. I could sing this song all day. I also know how to play it on the piano! But that's not the point. The mysterious and dark menaing to the song has all the elements to make it my favorite Disney Villian song.
I hope you all enjoyed my list. Feel free to critic and leave comments below.
