Dr. Spencer Reid Article: The Attraction

This is one question that i can't wrap my head around.

When us females see any normal smart, in your face male our first instinct is eww. How is this any different for Dr. Spencer Reid. The attraction to a usual person like this is zip but many of us average females are attracted to him. Face matters I do agree he is gorgeous, but facial aspects are not the whole package. He is also a fictional television character which helps but I really do not understand why we love him so much. When I see him I feel great every aspect about him is perfect. But I know that if I met a person smart like him there wouldn't be the attraction. I am asking this question mainly because I am attracted too. I know how it feels.

What is your opinion? I know you like him too so what makes him soo cute and amazing to you?

Anna-Wee Hmh... Actually I usually am not attracted to the alpha male. I like quiet and shy who say nice things to you, because other guys with confidence just assume things and they move on. So, I in everyday life like smart, adorable, socially awkward, and generally sweet guys because I'm a hopeless romantic.

Reliforp I would not put myself as a hopeless romantic because I really am not, but I do prefer men like this. They are more chilling and you can expierement a lot more.

Farrahfanatical I go for the cute socially awkward, smart, and quirky guy.. Alpha Males are too concieted for me..

lovelymea83 I agree Spencer being a fictional character adds to the attraction, plus the actor is hot. That always helps.

Paramore-CSI I like smart dorky guys who can be shy and quiet but have a different side to them if you get to know them.

graystone I am new to this 'Criminal Minds' club. And I think the reason why I like the character so much is that, he's not just brilliant, he's kinda modest about it too. In real life it is very difficult to come by guys like that. Sure, I've seen some people who are really smart(though none as clever as him), they are rude about it, and treats others who doesn't reach upto their potential as insignificant. Other things are he has been through a lot and when he was taken hostage and tortured, he developed his addiction he wanted to come clean. That is something worth admiring. And he isn't portrayed as having a perfect life or childhood. He's had a really tought ime and he strived to make it better. Plus, I have a thing for shy guys :) All these makes an amazing character.
