Red Bull Soapbox Race challenges everyone from amateurs to engineers to craft outrageous human-powered carts to race against the clock in a downhill sprint to the finish line. On October 13, a new batch of brave souls will attempt to conquer College Hill with a steep ride down Providence’s Waterman Street. This is not you Grandpa’s soap box race, however, so expect to cheer on Lobsters, Monsters, and even a giant turtle as they roll through the course. Over fifty teams will be competing for the winning title and grand prize. You have no good reason not to come, unless you dislike all things fun.
