Casting choices for Eat Pray Love scheduled to be released in 2011.What do you think?


Elizabeth Gilbert: Julia Roberts




Do you think she is a good choice? I think we've seen her face so much it's difficult to see her as Liz but I am looking forward to her take on this character.*shrug* I like Julia.



David: James Franco



After seeing pictures of David I think he is a pretty good fit look wise. I don't know him as an actor so lets see if he and Julia have the chemistry to pull off the "desperate" relationship.


Steven(Michael): Billy Cudrup



Liz ex-husband doesn't play a very large role in the book and we don't really know what he looks like- so I'm a little indifferent on the casting choice!


Felipe(Jose): Javier Bardem



Well its pretty obvious what we are all thinking:there is an elephant in the room and it AINT kurts sexuality... JAvier is WAY too young! In the book Liz is in her 30s and Felipe aka Jose in his 50s..but I guess Hollywood plays by different rules.


Richard Vogt: Richard Jenkins



Well the name fits...and it's possibly a good casting choice if he can pull off the accent that is!



Delia: Viola Davis




She is rumored to play a friend- I'm guessing she will be a mixture of the friends mentioned in the book (Susan, Deborah etc)



Sophie: unknown (anyone know this actress name?)



She looks like the perfect fit! Sophie is described as a "milk maid swedish girl who is so cute you could use her as bait to catch men" This girl can pull it off I'd say.
