7:00 p.m.,New Year's Eve. The year of 2002 would soon end, eaving 2003 to take it's course.Would it bring pain? Would it bring fortune? Only time will tell.
Meanwhile, Ed and Edd were gathering at Eddy's house for the New Year's Eve party. His parents were out of town and they were having a sleepover. Everything was set up, and it was just about to start . The Eds had rented tuxedos for the special occasion.
"How do I look?" Eddy asked.
"Amorous,eh, Eddy?" Edd gave him a wink. "Or just anxious?"
"Shut up, Sockhead."
With a knock at the door, Ed greeted the Kanker Sisters with a smile. Each wore strappy-silver heels, with strapless dresses with a slit cut up to the thigh. May wore blue, Lee wore red and Marie wore green.
"Hey there, girls! C'mon in!" Eddy called from the snack table. "Mmm..."
"We're here!" The girls shouted, kissing their respective Ed.
Eddy popped open some sparkling cream soda and poured it into some champagne glasses for fun. They started the party with Eddy putting on a record."You ain't nothin' but a hound dog, crying all the time..."
The three couples were dancing until their legs were sore. Edd collapsed in a chair once he got too tired. Then went May, then Eddy. It was down to Lee and Marie. Edd and Eddy cheered their girls on, until Marie collapsed in Edd's lap and Lee won.
"Dancing Queen!"Lee did a victory dance.
"Um,to celebrate Lee's victory, Eddy..."Edd gave him a wink. "Perhaps you should give her the,um..."
"Oh, right!" Eddy turned to Lee. "Close your eyes." Lee shut them. "No peeking!" Eddy produced a small box from his pocket and opened it. "Okay,open."
Lee gasped in delight as a lovely golden heart-shaped locket was placed around her neck. On the heart were the words, "Leela Diane Kanker "in silver cursive. "Oh,Eddy,it's GORGEOUS!!!"
As May and Marie turned their heads, Ed and Edd were holding up the same thing. For May, "Maizie Louise Kanker" and for Marie,"Maria Electra Kanker".
"Do you wanna dance,and hold my hand..."
A slow dance started, and they held each other, moving slowly as the lights seemed to dim around them. As they seemed to be in ecstacy ,a horrible force lay in wait for them just outside the window: Kevin Martinelli and his cousin, Mark.
"Gross..."Kevin made a face."Those guys are sick."
"Wanna crash the party?"
"I thought you'd never ask."
A few seconds before the song ended,the electricity went out.
"What's going on?"
"Who turned out the lights?"
"Ow! Eddy,stop that!"
"Stop what? I'm over here!"
"Yipe!"
"Oh,sorry,Double-D!"
"Not a problem...couldn't have known...thank you."
"You little devil...Lee,YOU little devil!"
"Um...that's not me..."

After that came three sounds:
A crash,a scream,and silence.
The electricity came back on.May,Lee,and Marie were gone.
"What happened?!"

Edd picked up a note.
"Dork,Dorkk,and Dorky - I have the dorkettes.If you want to see them again, bring $1,000,000,000 to the abandoned shack in the woods before midnight. Signed, Kevin and Mark"
"That dirty,son of a-"
"No time for cursing now, Eddy! We have to get them back!"
They raced out the door.

May knew this all too well. Would they finally succeed in getting her hair? They felt Lee shudder as Kevin undid her curls, letting her ravishing hair down. "Hey, nobody touches my sister!!!" Marie shouted, being greeted with a smack across the face."Shut up!"
The smack left a large welt below her eye, and started to swell. Marie fought back tears. "You don't scare us! My boyfriend'll get you!"
"You mean the dork in the sock?"Kevin cackled."He couldn't hurt a fly."
"You tried this before,Kevin! You're alwas so-"May screeched as a welt similar to Marie's appeared on her face.Lee protested and got the same.
The screams of the girls reached the ears of the nearby Eds. "I am going to take Kevin and SNAP HIS NECK in TWO!"
Edd had fire in his eyes."I'll do the honors of snapping MARK's!"
"Those guys aren't going to HAVE any bones in their BODY once I'm through with them!"Eddy shouted.
Finally,they arrived,and kicked down the door.Another note awaited them.
"Dorks-Congrats on making it this far.You'll find your girls in the closets I hid them in the upstairs closets.Good luck finding the keys.Kevin and Mark
P.S.Just leave the money here."
Eddy tore the note apart."Okay,we'll have to split up.Ed,you take the left.Double-D,you take the right.I'll go forward.If you find one of the Kankers,head back to my place and lay low.We'll meet up there."
They nodded and went their seperate ways.
Ed was careful not to make too much noise,the floor was incredibly creaky."This place gives me the creeps..."

Ed ran to a closet."Oh,May! The door's locked! How do I get in?"

Ed tried to bust the door,and managed to get it open.But he wasn't greeted by May,but Mark,with a tape recorder."Hey,there."

Ed was silenced by a purple gas seeping through the cracks in the door.Once awake,He was in a closet of his own."Great."
Edd walked across with a handkerchief pressed against his face,to keep him away from all the dust."Ick,dust...I hate dust..."
He saw a shadow in the corner.Edd ducked into a nearby trunk.Peering up slowly,he saw that it was Kevin carrying a passed-out Eddy across the hall."Oh,no,he's bleeding! I've got to do something..."
Edd was forced to jump out of the trunk and snatch Eddy out of Kevin's hands. Throwing the handerchief into his face,Edd ran out the door and was on his way to Eddy's house.He sorely wanted to go back and help Marie,but Eddy needed attention.
Upon entering Eddy's room,he lay him down on his bed and go out a first aid kit.After bandaging his bleeding arm,Edd saw Eddy slowly wake up."Double-D?..."
"Eddy! Are you okay?"
"Yeah..."
Eddy looked up and asked where Lee was.Edd sighed."I'm afraid she's still held captive.Same with May and Marie."
"Make that just May and Marie."
They saw a soaked,tattered Lee Kanker behind them. She raced over to Eddy's side. "Lee!"Edd looked shocked."You're hurt!" He treated the welt under her eye. "That's not the only thing they hurt..."
She had been wearing a blanket like a hood over her head.She took it off and Eddy felt like crying and screaming at the same time.Kevin had cut off half of her hair. It was just slightly higher than her shoulders."They...they cut my hair,Eddy..."She cried.Eddy welcomed her onto the bed.
"Are May and Marie okay?"
Lee sighed shakily."I'm not sure.May hair hasn't been cut yet,by my count.Marie's the worst off.She put up a fight and got roughed up by Kevin and Mark."
Edd looked like he would punch his fist right through the wall."I'm going back to find her.You two look after each other."
Edd ran outside,leaving the two of them to console each other.
May was okay,but she was next up."Okay,Maizie Lou,time for your haircut..." Mark began to snip off random locks,causing May to cry.But hope was just around the corner.
"HANDS....OFF....THE....HAIR...."
They turned to see a steaming mad Ed at the door."Ed! You came!"
Ed picked up a nearby chair and threw it at them.In the confusion,he grabbed May and ran.
After slamming the door to Eddy's room,they saw Lee and Eddy. "LEE!" May looked devastated."Your hair...your beautiful hair..."
Ed set May down and walked over."Where's Double-D?"
"He went back to get Marie.Let's hope he gets back before midnight."
Ed checked his watch.10:00 P.M.
"Marie!"Edd called."Marie!"

"Marie! Where are you?"
"I'm in the closet next to you."

"Let's take care of the blue-haired one..."He heard.

Edd was down to two keys."That's it! Here's the one!"
"Hold it right there!"Kevin shouted as he opened the door for Marie to get out.
"Marie,RUN!!!"Edd took her hand and ran like the wind."Hurry!"
Marie got tired and started to slow down,causing Mark to grab hold of her."GET OFF MY GIRL!"
Edd reached out and kicked Mark in the shin."YEOWCH!!!"

As they were running,Marie looked at Edd and said,"Wow You wouldn't hurt anybody if your life depended on it!"

Finally,they were out the door,but Marie tripped and skidded,ruining her dress."Marie!"
Edd picked her up and ran the rest of the way.Finally,they were inside,and Edd locked the door.
Catching their breath,May and Lee picked up their sister."Marie,you're a mess!"
The three couples went their seperate ways in the house.Eddy and Lee stayed in Eddy's room,Edd walked into the bathroom to get Marie cleaned up,and Ed and May went into Eddy's guest room.
