Ed Westwick‘s latest role makes Chuck Bass look like a do-good choirboy.

Gossip Girl grad has been cast as one half of a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style pair of serial killers in ABC’s L.A. Crime pilot, TVLine has learned.

Westwick’s Kent will cause mayhem alongside Betty, played by 

‘s Erika Christensen, in the potential true-crime procedural set on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip in the coked-up 1980s.

If greenlit, the drama will look at several facets of L.A. culture — including sex and politics — in various time periods. Season 1 will center on the two cops searching for Kent and Betty.

I love Ed Westwick but not excited about Erika. This does not seem like her kind of role at all.

Swimfan? Traffic? The FBI agent she played in a Law and Order SVU episode?

I’m kind of with you on this one. Westwick is reason enough to watch anything but Erika, not so much. I know people think she work is great but I’m just not overly impressed with what I’ve seen her in.

I thought this was a serialized show about trying to catch a pair of serial killers but the press releases keep calling it a “true crime procedural”.

I think I only watch on movie with him outside of his GG role and still the whole time CB ringed in my head.

YES. This is such a good news, I love Ed, he’s a quite talented actor and it’d be great to see him in more things, missed his acting. Plus this sounds like my kind of show. Oh and Taissa <33 Hope it gets picked up!

I’ve been interested in this pilot since I read the synopsis of it, but now with Ed and Erika both involved and need it picked up STAT!
