Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim Question

What was the name of the guy in the very beginning? (Alvar's nephew. Alvar being the Smith in Riverwood) and do you ever see him again?

I think his name was Hradvor or something.....
(This is a question to all those people out there who did nothing for the past 4 days lol and have progressed farther than I)

"You see him again after you complete the quest of guiding him to Riverwood and talking to the Blacksmith. He stays at Alvar's house while you pay a visit to Whiterun."

It's Hadvar, and you do if you join the Imperials. I don't know if you do or not if you join the Stormcloaks.
