My Skyrim Rules!

Looking for a deeper Skyrim experience? Here are some rules that can improve your role-playing experience.

Questions can help deepen your experience when you're not busy completing quests. Is there a particular race or type of person that your character doesn't particularly like? Does your character have any weird habits like only eating raw meat or traveling only at night? Are they religious? Do you place offerings at the shrines? Do they have a tendency to overindulge in drink or sweetrolls? Do they collect skulls or pottery? There are literally hundreds of questions that you could ask yourself about your character that will help to define them and make them interesting to play. By choosing three or four interesting quirks you can breathe life into a character that will sustain you for hundreds of hours of immersive role-playing.

Half the pleasure of playing the game is drinking in the landscape, watching the grass sway in the breeze, watching shadows creep across the rocky ground as the sun makes its way across the sky, staring into the setting sun as it descends on Skyrim's rugged landscape, admiring the silver shimmer of the stars and the majestic rise of Tamriel's twin moons. Take the time to listen to the sound of babbling brooks, bird calls and the haunting melody of the soundtrack.

While engaging in these activities doesn't necessarily do you much good from a gameplay perspective, they can work wonders from a role-playing perspective. Making a point of eating a couple of times a day and getting a few hours of sleep every night can help make the experience feel more real and less like you're controlling some sort of hologram. Change your outfit once in a while, find a nice girl or boy to settle down with and take the occasional day off just to wander around town or go fishing. These breaks in the normal flow of the game add depth and richness to the experience that can't be delivered by scripting cut scenes.

1. Hunt/Harvest your own food. Never steal or take from barrels (except for salt piles and the occasional treat etc.) Take drinks/ when wanted.

Don't miss out on the breathtaking sites that Skyrim has to offer. A walk in the woods can turn a routine quest into a memorable journey.

2. Never take take armour from people (They're never the right size.) Make your own armour (or loot from chests.)

3. Never take 'Weak potions' always take 'strong': Poisons, Health, Stamina, Fortify or Magic potions. Make your own potions/poisons from your OWN ingredients. You can take fortify/resist potions if you can't make stronger ones yourself (try to carry 20 or 30. Your companion can carry spares for later.)

4.Never steal/take ingredients or food (unless they're very rare). You can steal/take: Gold, lock picks, and powerful weapons.

5. Mine your own ore/jewels and Chop your own wood.

Waiting when sleeping, crafting, skinning, eating, reading, chopping wood and a number of other activities can be a great way to boost immersion.

6. Sell your OWN potions/poisons/ ingredients/ weapons/ ore/ ingots/apparel/ food/ jewellery/ jewels if you have no need to keep them.

7. Get your companion to store:
potions/poisons/ ingredients/pick/wood axes/weapons/ ore/ ingots/apparel/ food/ jewellery/ jewels if you want to sell/use them later.

8. Use your house! Store ingredients, food, books, weapons, ore, ingots, jewellery, pickaxes, wood axes and apparel for use or selling later. Only use companions for storing things you want them to wear for battle, potions if you need to get them whilst in a dungeon. Get them to haul ore, ingots, weapons, axes, armour, ingredients, jewellery, food and anything you want to store in your home later or equip in a dungeon (or anywhere.)

Of course you can take the rare ebony ingot/gold ingot, salt pile, ingredient/potion/poison, jewellery Or gold! :-)

**•Pure Mage Build•**

#Combat:
•Use Destruction spells and/or staves to either freeze, burn or shock your enemies. You can either dual-cast to deal more damage, or you could have a healing spell in the one hand whilst having a defensive spell/staff in the other. This is a good idea if you don't have many health potions. (Even though you should really stock up on those. They can be a huge life-saver for several occasions!)

#Health, Stamina & Magicka:
•When your health gets low in combat, you can either use health potions and/or healing spells. As a mage with light equipment, you do...

Skyrim has to be one of the most generous games you'll ever spend your money on. There are so many things you can get involved with. In addition to the fascinating main quest, you can: become a lethal assassin; become a master thief; join a civil war (on either side!); become a vampire; become a werewolf; get married (to a male or female); purchase and furnish homes; go to wizard college; become a master blacksmith, alchemist and enchanter; commune with the mysterious and powerful Daedric gods of Tamriel and do their bidding; clear out nests of bandits, vampires, spiders and undead; explore...

First off, I would like to say that I understand if you think Astrid’s a filthy traitor and liar, but please, hear me out.
Astrid is a strong character in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. She’s a bit creepy and mysterious, but I think she’s honestly more of a victim than anything.
Astrid tells you in the game that she killed her uncle, and liked it. She is bloodthirsty, but I think there’s more to this than what meets the eye.
She was probably abused and hurt by her uncle, and was terrified of him. When she finally got up the courage, she managed to get hold of a weapon and kill him, run...
