Painful Memories
Chapter One
Rosalie POV
I was sitting at my vanity. I started brushing my long golden waves. I was preparing myself. I knew Edward would be home soon. Charlie had Edward leave every night at a certain time. Of course Edward would just go back once Charlie was asleep. He chose to go to Bella’s house every night. When he came home it was always Bella this and Bella that. It got to the point that every sentence he ever said anymore had something to do with her.
What is so great about her? She’s nothing but a fragile little human. Anyway I knew I only had a short time for my talk I needed to have with Edward. My reason for not wanting Bella to become a vampire. She could be so stupid sometimes. She has everything I want and can never have. She is willing to throw all that away for my idiot of a brother. My story is my most painful memory of my human life. It is hard for me to tell but if it’s what I must do then I’ll do it.
Just as I turned around to go downstairs, I saw no other than ……. Edward. He was standing there with a goofy love sick look on his face. Shut up Rose he can read your thoughts! Remember? Every time he came home from Bella’s he always had that look. Come in Edward. Sit please. I thought to him. He strolled in and plopped down on my bed. As soon as he saw my expression he wiped that goofy smile of his face. I’m sure my expression was a very sad serious one. I’ve been blocking my thoughts since I told him to come in and sit, so he has no idea what has got me so sad.
“Rosalie just tell me what it is. And stop blocking your thoughts you know how I hate that.” He told me.
I took an unnessacary deep breathe. “I have to tell you my story. My Story of my human life.” I told him “It has to be told now. Bella needs to realize before it’s too late. That this life is not one that should be chosen. She shouldn’t throw away her life for an idiot like you.” I grinned at the last part.
“Where do I begin? I suppose the beginning is
good.” He nodded.

We all know what the story is. It would be a very very long chapter if I included all of it.

As I told the story, I kept my eyes on the moon. So peaceful. Much better than seeing his horrified expression. I imagined it would be something like Carsiles. Carsile was the first and only person who I had told. When I finished I glanced over at Edwards face. He was was not horrified but apologetic?
“Rosalie I’m truly very sorry for the way I have acted to you.” He was apologizing? For acting like that towards me? Edward you did nothing but write me of as a self absorbed, shallow girl. Which just proves you are good at figuring people out.
“Mind reading helps. Whenever someone wakes up from feeling the fire of a transformation , and wants to know where to find a mirror rather than wonder if they are ok. You tend to write them of a shallow.” He explained.
That was right. I remember now. The moment I woke up from my transformation I wanted to find the closest mirror. I wanted to make sure that whatever happened, I was still beautiful. As long as I was beautiful whatever happened was okay.
“Thanks for sharing that story Rosalie. I know it must have been painful to tell.” He thanked me.
“It’s ok Eddie. Didn’t find it as painful as I thought I would.” I said to him. I really meant it. It had gotten much easier to tell.
We got up from the bed and went downstairs. When I got to the living room, I saw the whole family sitting around. Jasper and Alice were on the loveseat. Carsile was by one of the bookcases. He had a book in his hands. I would have looked to see what the name of the book was but I could really care less. I continued searching for Emmett.My Emmett. Esme was somewhere in the kitchen. I could hear her scrambling with pots and pans. She loves to bake. Now that we have food in our house for bella, Esme had been learning to cook. I turned my attention back to the room.
“Hey Babe” Emmett called to get my attention. I spun around to see him on the big couch. Of course he was watching a game. I rolled my eyes. He always was watching some sort of game. He saw my eye roll and quickly shut off his game. He came over to me and picked me up into one of his big bear hugs. As soon as he put me down I pulled him close.
He bent down and touched his lips to mine. I pulled myself closer to him. I kissed him with all my passion. We had been kissing for five minutes straight, when some cleared their throat .Jasper . He is so annoying. He was more annoying than Alice sometimes!
I heard Edward cough to cover his laugh. I still heard it. Apparently so did Alice.
“Something funny?” She asked in her annoying squeaky voice. She glared over at Edward.
That did it. Edward and I both started to laugh out loud. “Really guys what is so funny?” she asked once again.
“Nothing” we both murmured together as soon as we calmed down.
I grabbed Emmett’s hand and pulled him upstairs towards out room. I needed to tell Emmett the story too. He always asked about it and he really does deserve to know. He is my husband after all.
“Babe what’s wrong?” He asked. He probably saw my expression.
“Well….” I didn’t know how I should begin. This would be harder to tell Emmett than Edward. I could no longer hold back my dry sobs. If I were human I would be crying my eyes out. He held me in his arms until I calmed down.
“I want to tell you about my human life Emmett.” I told him. “It’s not pleasant to hear. It’s also not pleasant to tell. I don’t know if I’m strong enough to tell it twice in one day.”
I stared past him. At my reflection in the glass of the window. Could I do this? Am I strong enough?
