An Emmett and Rosalie Fanfic
“Wh..wh…what?” I was shocked.
Carlisle pulled away a little but still held into my upper arms. “The way I have acted around you is un-acceptable. And I am SO sorry for that…and I am even more ashamed that it took your brother and mother to make me realize that how I have treated this whole situation.” He put one finger under my chin making me look up at him, “I am extremely proud of you for following your heart and saving this young man no mater what the outcome may be.” He was nearly crying at this point.
“I…I…I…” I could not find the words to explain how I felt and before I could he pulled me into another hug and whispered in my ear: “I love you, darling.”
“I love you too, dad.” This time when I pulled back he really was crying.
I laughed…laughed! Something I had not done in months…years even…
He brought both his hands up to my cheeks and smiled to me but our thoughts were soon consumed with horrifying screams.
I pulled away from Carlisle and took my seat next to the stranger. I held his hand and wiped his face with a damp cloth.
“It won’t be long, now.” Carlisle put his hand on my shoulder and nodded.
“I’m really sorry for betraying you and thank you for listening to my pleas.” I told him sincerely.
He shushed me and chuckled before kissing my head. “I’ll leave you alone; call us if you need anything, alright?”
I nodded and he left the room.
Soon after Carlisle left the strangers heart rate increased. It sounded like it would beat out of his chest. He screamed…and fought. I tried to hold him down but his strength was too much.
All of the sudden I heard Edward behind me. “Rosalie!” He said surprised, “he is too strong…you’re going to get hurt…”
Before Edward could continue I was thrown across the room into the wall.
“Carlisle!” Edward called after holding the man down forcefully.
“Stop! Edward! You’ll hurt him!” I yelled crying from worry as I watched Edward fight the man.
Carlisle and Esme were in the room in a flash and they came right to me, “Don’t worry, the man will be fine just relax.” Esme said concerned.
“I’m fine!” I yelled feeling helpless trying to get up but Esme and Carlisle kept pushing me back down.
No you’re not…stay still.” I looked at the arm Carlisle was applying pressure on.
I was bleeding. Profusely. My whole arm was covered in a red liquid.
“W…wh…why am I bleeding?” I asked shocked and confused.
“I will explain later but I need to wrap this up, now.” Carlisle was pulling me up and dragging me out of the room by my un-harmed arm. “Esme will stay to help, she won’t let anything happen.” He stopped pulling while he said this. I took one last look and left the room to Carlisle office.
I was sitting on Carlisle’s desk while he took pieces of broken glass out of my arm from the vanity that I landed on.
“Carlisle?” I asked.
“Why was the man fighting?”
He looked up from my horrible cut almost not wanting to answer. “His heart is stopping,” he sighed mumbling, “it is the most painful part of the whole transformation.” He replied looking back down at my wound.
“Oh,” I replied letting the truth sink in. “Ouch” I jumped at the last piece of glass being pulled out.
“Sorry,” he answered smiling.
After all the glass was out of my arm he started to wrap it.
“Why was I bleeding…I mean I thought vampires skin was like marble?” I asked.
“Well, you’ve only been a vampire for a couple years your body did not change all at once. Some things take time…” He explained finishing up the bandaging.
“Rose why don’t you go shower and relax a little, you seem stressed.” Carlisle proposed starting to put his things away.
“I want to…” I started.
“…go back to the man…I know but you should really get cleaned up.” He smiled finishing my sentence and put his ‘Doctor Bag’ away.
“Fine…” I played along, “thanks Carlisle.” I said before going to turn on the shower.
The warm water felt nice cascading down my skin but the pleasant feeling was sort lived as my need and want came back to the beautiful man lying in the room next to mine.
I hurried with my make-up, but still made sure I looked gorgeous, and put on some jeans and a cream blouse. I found so pretty black strap heals that I slipped on and brushed my hair before going back into the guest room.
Edward stood up from the couch in the corner and left the room. But before he could I hugged him and thanked him for everything.
I sat back down on the stool and looked at the man and saw how much he had changed from when I first saw him in this bed….
