it was a 3 year gap between brisingr and inheritance so we can count on the wait being as long, if not longer

i'm hoping he's been working on the new books while he's been Wrighting the last few books in the inheritance series the next books have to be about the woman with the scared wrists and the girl that eragon blessed in eldest because she pops up again in inheritance
