I’ve read up a lot on ‘image credit’ and peoples perceptions of the right and wrong ways to credit images but personally I think some people are going about it in the wrong way. I don’t expect people to ‘like me’ for what I’m about to say and I don’t care because as I’ve always stated, Fanpop is supposed to be a happy, fun place where people can make friends, share opinions, join and create spots all of which is a great way to express oneself, as well as contributing to other spots.
In my opinion Fanpop can teach us to be creative, to share with others, express ourselves and so much more, however I’ve noticed that ‘to me’ the concept of image credit has been taken too far, by this I mean there is one thing to want image credit and another thing to go overboard with it,
For example: a lot of images that I’ve seen can be obtained by downloading them from most wallpaper web sites, they are free and come with little or no image credit and I’ve read about some people threatening to report others because of lack of image credit which to me is just disgusting, threatening to report people over something they may not know anything about is just wrong and if the image isn’t credited in the first place what can you do and what about fan pick questions and pop quizzes? no one asks for an image credit on those or for images used in articles.
I’m all for image credit and playing by the rules, but as I said not all images can be fully credited, maybe only as far as the web site that it came from and if this is the case then really what do you do, except credit the image in the best way possible that’s the only right option isn’t it?
I don’t know what to make of this but some attitudes have really made me angry and it’s not a very nice example for our younger or newer Fanpop fans or for anyone for that matter, Let’s all try to keep Fanpop a ‘happy’ place.

Many of you may not agree with me and I don't expect anyone to do so, maybe some of you like a few spots on the one topic and some of you don't, I like fanpop just the way it is, the more spots, the better.

Monday: Work on the spot I've created.
Tuesday: Contribute to other spots and join new ones.
Wednesday: Check my profile and learn more about my fans.
Thursday: Go through every video, picture, article, wallpaper etc. and save and rate my favorites.
Friday: Find new material to add to all of my favorite spots.
Saturday: Have one day to go all around the whole of fanpop, I may not do anything but I might find something new.
Sunday: Try not to turn the computer on, who am I kidding?
And almost every day I must remember to check my mail, it seems like a lot to do but it's fun anyway and if you're anything like me, someone who can stay on the computer for hours at a time? remember to take breaks at least every half an hour to avoid headaches. Have Fun.
