Fanpop Users Article: The JoKeR- Gossip

The JoKeR-!

As you may have noticed, there has been a new trend on Fanpop. Something everyone talks about and revolves around. All this gossip is about a user: JoKeR-.

First he sent me a message. It kind of creeped me out. It read:

The link leads to icons of users he has 'JoKeRiZeD'. Now, I thought he was either an old user wanting attention, or just somebody creating mystery. But as the days went on, the JoKeR- kept 'JoKeRiZiNg' users. I have one clue, he told me his name was Jack Rippner. But what does he want?

Everytime I go on chats, or check the new forums, the JoKeR is there. Countless people continue to talk about this gossip. A 'resistance' was made by Spotty_Vision21 (picture of her as WonderWoman - link) of superheroes trying to defend against the JoKeR- and on a forum (link) EverybodyLies (disguised as Batman-) tried to do something about it, but the JoKeR found out his true identity somehow. This character seems to be everywhere, and knows whats going on more than any of us, even when he's not there. How does he do this? Why?

I've talked to other users who have been 'JoKeRiZeD' (other 'JoKeRiZeD' users include Spotty_Vision21, amazondebs, Shortynme,and masrissa) and I've heard they have received messages as well.

oblix's thoughts: "he seems nutty and has brought a new interesting and yet creepy thing to fanpop"

Claire-aka-bob's thoughts: "I think he is taking things out of proportion by saying he 'carves' faces when really he just colors them in on paint. I have suspicions that he is a fake account but I am not sure who he really is.
and he also calls people copy cats for having a go at changing their own faces but really he is the copy cat of the real joker.

Who is this JoKeR- aka Jack Rippner? And what does he want? He says he has a plan, but what do you think?
If you have any theories or thoughts feel free to share them. Any information can be helpful too.

shortynme The Joker "carved" my face and let me know about it. I thought it was funny and pretty cool. Seriously, what harm can he do to me other than to put paint on my pictures? I've also messaged him after he did that, and now we're fans of each other. He's pretty funny. There's nothing like getting into character online, and staying that way! He's harmless, just spicing up Fanpop a little in my opinion.

xTobyxluverx me 3! i just found out. i sent my friend a message asking if she knew anythin. i doubt it. but if he removes stuff when you ask, i guess he cant be so bad, can he? i wanna find out more.

marissa Yeah, I agree with most of the above comments. Really, what's the harm? And it's kind of exciting! I mean, I can't remember anything like his happening on Fanpop before. People are making picks, forum topics, even soapboxes about it! It's kind of fun! I get how some peole can be upset about it. I mean, when he talks about manipulating a picture he says "carves". That's kinda viloent and more then a little creepy. But that's half the fun of it! lol. Really, he's just playing the "character". And I think he's being a pretty good sport if he's willing to take down the pictures of those offended. It shows he's not just some weirdo wanted to freak people out. And this "link" all the "victims" are supposed to have? ...hmmm, a mystery!

babybell Lol im kinda scared and kinda interested and kinda well he doesnt often come near the house spot so oh well lol... he seems like a nice guy and its probably just a joke!!!

IsisRain I think it's all pretty interesting. It definitely adds some spice to my visits to fanpop to see what he's been up to next.

looopey3 i like him.he can be really nice 1 day the other day scary!the way he talks gets me puzzeld but apart from that nothing rong with him. debs if your friend wants to be unknown then fine but the JoKeR- cant take it down. tell him through email so they can take it down. if you lot have proof he has fake acounts then band him but without proof its unfair.

claire-aka-bob why is it unfair, its not like he is taking all of them down, just the one that someone is uncomftorble with him posting and he is happy to take it down he so he will its not like he is taking [u]all[/u] of them down and anyway, if someone didn't want one of them to be posted and joker didn't take it down the f4 would, i dont think its up to you what other people want ♥

looopey3 when i said its unfair i ment its unfair to think he has a ghost acount and band him without any proof.

amazondebs no one said anything about fake accounts or banning him full stop, did they? the user that is upset refuses to be known as the one who made a fuss so she's just gona leave it be apparently she was speaking to the joker in chat and seems more comfortable now so if she's happy i'm happy, i never wanted the joker banned i just wanted a friend of mine to feel safe on fanpop

Cinders And that's totally understandable, debs, we all want to feel safe on Fanpop. But like I said, he's agreed to take down any images if they offend people, so if you sent him a message I'm sure he would have removed the offending icon. :o)

xTobyxluverx geez guys chill, i feel tension in the air [dramatic movement]. its not like theres a murderer on the loose [well, i hope not], so chillax. i dont think hes really offended anyone too badly, he just wants to be a fun and intresting addition to fanpop, so we should just let it be. if he does do anythin offendin, then we can worry about it. oh, and hes a fan of me, so has anyone else talked to him before i decide to?

ineedcoffee don't feel bad for me, I replied to his forum and he said he would do it and I fully expected it and am fine with that I find it amusing especially Germany's that was funny. Come on people it is all in fun, if this really does bother you then you shouldn't be answering his picks or answering his forums...lol

housegrl32 I never even knew about all this till just now...anyway, I don't think it's that bad, it's kinda fun to have things shaken up.

...and appearantly too stupid to get banned.

Let me explain.
This morning I got up, had breakfast and decided to leave fanpop and twitter.
Don't ask why, various reasons, don't feel like elaborating them right now.

So I'm saying to myself "Caramelmilk, if you leave, you have to leave with a BOOM." Which means I wanted my account to disappear like a fart in the atmosphere.
I thought "How hard can it be to get banned, even people who were not trying to get banned do get banned.
And if you get banned by "accident" you can always message the F4 in a couple of months if you decide you wanna come back."...
