Fanpop Article: What happened to the Meebo bar

Today on June 6th, The Meebo bar was not working. Many fans could not log on and all of them thought that it was a glitch or a fail. But then, according to snakemanfan, Google shut down Meebo permanently to work on Google+. It is totally damn stupid. I know that many people use the meebo bar in order for chatting on Fanpop and other stuff, But this is just sad. Google want to dominate the whole internet. Just because Google+ is being updated just does not mean that you have to shut down the Meebo bar permanently. So today, We have to say our Final Words to the Meebo bar as it shuts down forever.

This will be a really sad thing for users who have used the Meebo Bar. I really do not know if they will replace it or bring it back, But for now, Meebo is gone, Forever. :( :( :(

Some of us were in the middle of things I am sure. Meebo was not just for live chat, it was for updates. I could do without all the sensitive ads and bttns. Fanpop Games was a trial run on the Meeb too. I rather liked live updates Meebo offered. Some notice though on stuff wud be good if possible!

zanesaaomgfan It's not just Fanpop either. On Wattpad, meebo chat was how I talked to my fans. Now, how can I talk to them and instantly respond? :/

MidNightX_X I've been a fanpop user for over 3 years now and i admit Meebo had its glitches from time to time but this is just wrong... i have a lot of friends that i chat with on this site and its now really annoying to be constantly messaging them to be able to chat instead of just chatting. will they at least replace it? why didnt fanpop think ahead of this?

This is Tejas( mr-cullen).I was a fanpop user from past 2 and half years. i recently got banned cause of multiple account.
i wanted to explain so i made this account and i will delete it after i publish this article.

Okay everybody on Fanpop is a fan of something, you have to be, But what is a true fan? Well, I'll tell you.
According to Webster's Dictionary, a Fan is
A:
Function: noun
Etymology: probably short for fanatic
1 : an enthusiastic devotee (as of a sport or a performing art) usually as a spectator
2 : an ardent admirer or enthusiast (as of a celebrity or a pursuit) <science-fiction fans>

This is a great definition of a fan of a baseball team or a specific person, such as the Yankees or Brad Pitt. But is that really what the Fans on Fanpop are? No....

How To Upload Images

Hey there! I'm emerald_32, but you can call me Emerald or Em. Today I'll be showing you a quick tutorial I made on how to upload images.
So I've heard that a lot of users are having problems with the new image uploader. I have to say, it isn't really that complicated. For a 1-2 days it was for me, but I figured it out now. Since some don't, I'll be writing this article for that situation.

Please note that the browser that I use is Google Chrome, because it has some built-in plug-ins that are handy when surfing the net and uploading images.
