I’ve never made a rant about fanpop issues before so beforehand I’m telling ya, it might be the worst written thing on earth (clearly after Twilight XD), but it’s a rant and it’s 1:10 am in my country and I’m almost brain dead because of the past week but I can’t take it anymore.
Today, I’ll delight you with a rant about miscategorized content because , trust me, it gets on your nerves too.
Imagine yourself being in the ‘pop one of those days in which you want to stare at your favorite celeb pictures, read a good quality article, watch a fan made video and even comment in some picks. Yeah, everything is going smoothly at the pop but then: Dun dun duuuuuuuuuun!
You are on the House MD spot and you see a Justin Bieber picture!!!
*Psycho scream*
“Oh no! What has the House spot done to deserve a Justin picture?” You ask yourself as you feel tears building in your eyes.
The spot has done nothing wrong, it’s the fans. Squealing fangirls that want to share their love of their fav [insert favorite thing here]. It’s not wrong to share your love of that thing, but it has to be done in the spot.
Quick Note:
Love doesn’t mean add 18763128762876 duplicated keywordless images
Let’s face it, when we go to the Alice in Wonderland we don’t want to see it plastered with Edward Scissorhands content.
OMGZGGGG! Dey dared 2 pozt a tUILIHGT pic in the super hot Joe JOnAZ sput!
First of all breathe a deep calmed breath. Then go to the little flag next to the save button. Click on it and report the image/video/answer/pick/article/quiz.
It’s important to write a reason why you are reporting the content, it’s easier for the F4.
Write good arguments and reasons.
My content was reported and I don’t know why!? I mean, sure it’s the Johnny Depp spot but he has worked in a lot of films with Helena Bonham Carter!
I especially hate this! I mean ok yes, he worked in a lot of films with her but it’s clear that it’s the Johnny Depp spot not the Helena Bonham Carter spot. Do not plaster the spot with things that are related but do not belong in the spot.
It also happens a lot in the shipping spot, it the couple spot! Not the characters on its own spot I hate to go to say the Huddy spot and find content like “Cuddy in 5 to 9 Screencaps. “ Sure it could be related if it were to be screencaps of that episode that involve the ship/pairing. This could be debatable of course but again, each character has its own club so it’s not necessary to cover one spot with just one of the characters.
Also in the celebrities spots I hate to see character stuff. I mean not the kind of “Jim Parsons as Tim the Fast Food Knight in 'Garden State'” but the kind of “The Big Bang Theory Sheldon learns Finnish” content. You see it’s the JIM PARSONS spot and yes, he plays Sheldon but there’s also a Sheldon Copper spot in which you can add that type of content. (It also bugs me that they post fan art about the character and not the actor).
I LUB GAGA! SO I’LL PLASTER THE WURLD WITH MAMMA MONSTER!
First of all *high fives* I love Mamma Monster too! But I’m pretty sure the Animals Rights spot doesn’t need Gaga content, unless of course she did doing a campaign for it, in that case you upload things related to the campaign.
You see, I know a trick, if you post content that is related to the spot, people will fan it and then you’ll get a shiny green/yellow/red medal.
Quick Note:
Do not add tons of keywordless and un credited content because you want to win a medal, you’ll become a medal whore.
If you are only interested in those shiny things you’ll become a medal whore. And medals whore upset funny-mustache guy so beware!
I NEEDZ TOO KNOU IF ROBERT PAZTTINZZON WUD DATHE ME!
If you need internet people to affirm you that you are pretty and a nice person to meet, then go to a shrink and tell him/her you got self-esteem issues.
I’m pretty sure nobody in the Fanpop spot cares about that, I’m pretty sure that internet people won’t fulfill your lack of self-confidence, so why bother in asking?
The answers section is always plastered with unrelated and miscategorized questions. It so horrendous it gives me an eye twitch. I hate the answer section because of that. If you ask if you are pretty in the Fanpop spot 3 things will happen:
a)You’ll bug the users in there and they’ll snap at you.
b)You won’t get the right answer because beauty is not a fact, beauty is interpreted in different ways.
c)You’ll answer will get reported.
So long story short:
Add proper content to the proper spot and let Fanpop be happy :)
Otherwise, I know a suicide bomber who might snap at you next time you ask if that Justin Bieber is hot!
Final Note:
All the spots in this article were not harmed in the process. In other words, they are just example is not real situations (well just a couple).
I’m confused I dunno if this is a guide or a rant. I’ll leave it as a guide-ish rant. I told you, first time is definitely not the charm.
Neither Achmed nor Hitler will eat you if you follow this article’s advice
