Some of you may have joined fanpop and are new and really don't know much about it. Well, of course fanpop is a fun place to join fan clubs of pretty much any thing you like. Many people love fanpop and it's really hard to not to like it. So when your joining fanpop stay on a bit and just go to your fave spot and just chill answering picks and videos.

Since there are alot of people on fanpop you may go to someones profile and wonder what something is like a prop. It will take a little time until you get a prop (s) but until then just add videos, picks, pictures, quiz questions, links, forums or articles to help you get started.

Pick: a pick is a opinon question any fanpopper can answer.

Video: On any spot you will be able to find videos ,unless some one needs to add a video, but a video is a video about anything that is on the spot Example: On the Lord of the Rings spot there may be a video about Gondor,so you can add videos any time just make sure they are in the right spot

Quiz question: a quizz question is a question any one can answer on spots but it's a FACT not opinon question

Article: well an article is something like your reading now.

Forum: A forum is like an article but smaller.

Picture: You can add/upload pictures to any spot.

Prop: a prop is something you get for your picks, videos, links, articles, forum and so on

Link: a link is a link in spot where it might lead to a site about ,oh say Twilight, you can add links to any spot too

Fans: On your profile in the corrner it says fans you will have a nimber of fans at first you might start off slow getting Fans but soon you will have more and more.

Thanks for reading ,I hope you have a happy 2009 year and a good year on Fanpop

Ok, I usually don't make user guides but this one needs to be made. I have seen a lot of picks and a lot of them are boring or annoying. Here is a list of steps to help you out.

1. Try to have more than three answers if possible. If the question is "Who should Jim be with?" Put, Karen and Pam, and then put an answer like neither or Katy.

2.Always have pictures for the question if it isn't a yes, no, or maybe question. Pictures bring in more fans and make the picks more interesting.

3. Try to ask questions that people haven't already asked and questions that people will be interested in. Don't make it boring.

Now these are the three golden steps to making a good, quality pick on fanpop. If you feel I need to add anything, then please leave it in the comments.

I have a pet peeve.

As a writer, I have found my stuff posted on other websites without my permission, and sometimes without so much as a mention that it was MY article... or a link back to the original. This ticks me off, and it is illegal to do so.

I have not come across this on Fanpop with articles yet, but I have seen it numerous times on images.

Some of the people I adore the most are even doing it. I have to assume innocence here and figure some folks just don't know... so I'ma tell ya ;)

Credit. Credit. Credit. The option to add the photo credit when you submit an image is there for a reason....

I'm guessing a lot of people have all ready have found this problem but if you don't understand then it's like this:
One day I decided to create a new club of something that didn't exist as a club yet but I couldn't find the 'Create a club' button. Trust me I looked high and low for the thing but couldn't find it. When I logged out of my account at last there I saw it, the 'Create a club button' so when I clicked on it they of course asked me to sign back in but when I did I was the same position I was in before clicking.
For some people this problem don't seem to happen but for people like me who want to create clubs but can't because the button is unavailable well it's frustrating. I've been looking abound for some kind of answer but the only thing that came up was a link link
this only leads to you having to sign in again. I don't know if it's the signing in thing that's the problem but it really shouldn't be.
Please fix this problem Fanpop!

Why are keywords so important?
Why are keywords so important?
What are keywords?

Why should I use them?

How can keywords help me?

Keywords are tags that you place on the content you submit to Fanpop so that other fans can find it. You don't need to use a lot of them, just the relevant ones. You'll want to use words that describe what's in the content. Who is in it, what episode it's from, etc.

Example:
supernatural, dean, 4x18, the monster at the end of this book
supernatural, dean, 4x18, the monster at the end of this book

This example is very simple. It's an icon from the show Supernatural [keyword], the subject is Dean [keyword], it's from episode 4x18 [keyword] 'The Monster at the End of This Book' [keyword]....

Please don't hate me. I know I shouldn't be wasting an article space writing this. I mean many people rated tp1992's article low, but I wanted to take out my fustrations somewhere.
I just noticed today that in one of my favourite spots I am no longer number 1. I wouldn't be so bothered if it weren't for this:

Ok, this is getting a tweee bit ridiculous. And before I start off, I know this has been discussed before, I'm just refreshing everybody's mind.
Yesterday, I was fanpoping. I come across the link spot- And went to videos. link is what I saw. There were apple pie videos there. Submitted by Hulu.
link are some images by other fanpopers reporting this.

Hulu's videos should NOT be done by a webcrawler. (or whatever you call it) Dave, either have a manual team do hulu's videos, or dont do it at all.

EDIT: as amazondebs says in the comments, Fanpop isen't even getting paid for hulu's videos. What is the purpose of having them here?

(Another) EDIT: more of this maddness. and in link spot!
Well guys, I joined this club a long time ago, but I never felt the need to poll or write an article here. This article is important right now. And if you are reading, can you write in the comments after you read what I can do?

I had such a habit until now, I had discovered a few series on Netflix and watched them periodically, but I started to get bored. Of course they were all great shows, especially H20, but I needed something new. Moreover, our school gave a one-week vacation so I thought this would be my chance. And I discovered an incredibly beautiful series, "Scaredy Cats." The drama...

Taking a leaf from Kate who is kicking annoying Fanpoppers, THETACOMAN now makes a guide for trolls-
Idiota Piticus, aka Self-Pity troll. This troll is rather annoying. Its really hard to tell if this troll has a problem, or is just complaining. Disgusting how much attention they pay themselves.
Danger- low. All trolls have some level of danger. While they may fly off at you for no absolute reason, self pity usually stops them from causing any real trouble.
Idiota Zelos aka Overzelous troll. This troll often uses religion (or lack thereof) as a sheild for their hate. Citing holy books and/or specific...

Chose Buffy & Spike From Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 7
Has any one ever told that you are obessed with this show?

Well, I have cuz I have pictures on my computer, seasons of the show, and some soundtracks of the show. See a lot of people can be judgemental sometimes. Now, that can be annoying.

When I have some my best friends sleep over my house, they see a lot of stuff from my favorite shows. And they would say wow you really love that show.

See, I have all seasons of two shows that I love which is Buffy The Vampire Slayer & Xena The Warrior Princess. Then my friends would judge on some things that I have in my room that are from thoses two tv...

This is a forgery. Every single word is plagiarized. (1)

What is Plagiarism?
Many people think of plagiarism as copying another's work, or borrowing someone else's original ideas. But terms like "copying" and "borrowing" can disguise the seriousness of the offense:

According to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, to "plagiarize" means

1. to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own
2. to use (another's production) without crediting the source
3. to commit literary theft
4. to present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source.

In other words, plagiarism...

Ok, there has been a growing problem that I have recently noticed on Fanpop. I have been receiving many e-mails that are very annoying and sometimes even offending. I don't care if you are having a problem with another fanpopper or you are telling me about a new spot. The fun part about fanpop is that you get to discover new spots for yourself. And we might not like the certain spot. Also, if you are having a problem with another fanpoper than just ignore them and don't tell us about that certain person.i don't want to here it. I might even be friends with that specific fanpoper. If you are...

I was never intending to do a follow-up article on fanpop-addiction. I just took it for granted that I had grown happily addicted and I would remain that way. I basked in the warm, happy glow that only recognition for fanpop-contribution can give you, and looked forward to the fanpopping years ahead.

But then disaster struck. And I'm not talking about the massive floods that have hit England... (I was fine with the cellar being filled with water...)No, my internet broke and left me without fanpop.

So now, my second list. The list of what happens when a fanpop-addict is forced to quit.

1. When...

As the 'Answers' section keeps getting clogged up with more and more spam and miscategorized content I feel the need to introduce you all to a part of Fanpop that would solve so many problems if only people would use it.

What are Forums? The Forums are for use of discussions. Things that may not have a few solid answers (use picks for that). Where you can create long winded discussions.

Why should I use the Forums and not post all my useless questions in Answers? Because Answers is where you are asking a question that would have a factual answer to that you do not know.

Technically speaking what...

Breasts are pornographic and should only be shown on porn sites.

Girls must be careful when looking in the mirror, the sight of their own breasts could easily aruse them which in most cases leads to a heavy masturbatory response.

Knowing this we are sincerely happy that the danger that was the breasts spot has been deleted shortly after its creation.
Our thanks go to the brave fans who have reported that inspired-by-the-devil-spot and were not stopped by the fact that no pornograhpic material was allowed over there. They were not fooled by the image of it being a nice place devoted to a pretty...

I’ve never made a rant about fanpop issues before so beforehand I’m telling ya, it might be the worst written thing on earth (clearly after Twilight XD), but it’s a rant and it’s 1:10 am in my country and I’m almost brain dead because of the past week but I can’t take it anymore.

Today, I’ll delight you with a rant about miscategorized content because , trust me, it gets on your nerves too.

Imagine yourself being in the ‘pop one of those days in which you want to stare at your favorite celeb pictures, read a good quality article, watch a fan made video and even comment in some...
