[One Piece! The New Pirate-King's Execution!]

-Time-skip, 2 days prior-

Raftel. The final destination. The place that supposedly holds the treasure, One Piece, and the the Rio Poneglyph. Little is known of the island itself, but almost everyone has heard about One Piece and the place Gol D. Roger allegedly hid the famous artifact. For the Straw Hat pirates, it is the place that will make them. They will become pirates of legend, the crew to the Pirate-King, he who is king over all pirates. Monkey D. Luffy, son of Monkey D. Dragon and grandson of Monkey D. Garp, also known as Garp the Fist, or Garp the Hero, has finally reached the place where he will become King of the Pirates. It is a nice day on Raftel, though they had passed through bad weather to get there, passing through a large storm, which ever plagues the current they needed to take them to Raftel. At this moment, the Straw Hats anchor off the shore of the island and begin getting ready to explore and find One Piece.

'Luffffffyyyyy!!!! Wake up!' Nami calls, slight irritation at his relaxed nature seems to affect the tone of her voice.

Luffy continues snoring, unaware of the storm that is approaching... that is, the storm of Nami's boot being aimed at his side. With force, she boots him in the side with an annoyed look on her face. Luffy wakes with a start, rubs his side and stares at her, with little comprehension.

'Owww... Nami, what'd you do that for?' Luffy groans, with the signature idiot look on his face.

Nami whacks him over the head. 'You idiot. We're here... at Raftel. You know, the legendary island where Gol D. Roger left One Piece?!'

'WE'RE HERE??!!'

Nami sighs. There's no getting through to Luffy. Instead, she decides to leave him alone and go prepare. Meanwhile, Luffy has already jumped, stretched and then suddenly uses the Gomu Gomu No Rocket and disappears off the Thousand Sunny, before anyone can say anything.

'Where are you going, stupid?! I'm coming, too!' Zoro shouts at him and seizes his katanas, then leaps off the boat and follows his Captain. Sanji, the cook, notices and follows, too. Not to be left out by his two comrades, the cook will never let them leave without him, much to the annoyance of the others that will follow on eventually.

'Hey, Luffy! Wait for me! And you, too, mosshead!!!' Sanji yells and powers through the water, reaching the beach and then sprinting after them. The others look on and each sigh, too, following Nami's example.

Luffy, Sanji and Zoro finally have caught up with one another and are now discussing their plans on how to find One Piece. The thick jungle of the island, as well as its size, have given them a difficult objective to achieve, though nothing will stop them now that they are here, despite however long it will take them.

-Time skip, 5 hours later-

The treasure is staring them in the face, though they are thoroughly unimpressed with what it is, other than the power that it brings to the bearer. One Piece is simply a piece of paper, folded in half. Luffy grabs the paper and opens it in the rush, ripping it in half. He puts the two halves together and reads out the barely legible writing on the paper.

'It's... the... hat... eh? What hat?' Luffy asks, confused by the writing.

Sanji hits him lightly. 'You idiot! Your hat... it was your straw hat all along... that was why Shanks gave you it, because it originally belonged to Gol D. Roger, and because he wanted you to become the Pirate-King. It's now obvious, Luffy. With that hat, you are now the Pirate-King.'

Zoro stopped them and pointed at something. 'Look over there! There's something else, too. I think he left something to identify you as Pirate-King... you're known as Straw Hat Luffy already, so no-one will believe that you found One Piece. Roger must've realised that the person who ended up with the Straw Hat wouldn't be able to prove anything, so he left something else, too.'

-Time skip, a day later-

A storm is brewing. During the time that the Straw Hats were away from the Thousand Sunny, pirates and marines have flocked to Raftel, after learning that the Straw Hats made it there. Of course, only the best made it to Raftel, the rest perishing among the dangerous current and the constant hurricane-like weather thriving around it. However, the storm is that of the most dangerous people contained on one ship - the ship that holds the Fleet Admiral and three Admirals of the Navy. They are the most dangerous men pursuing the Straw Hat pirates, besides that of one other man, the one who can control darkness, Marshall D. Teach, also known as 'Blackbeard'.

[One Piece: The Pirate-King's Execution]

Luffy and the other two rushed back towards where they thought the Sunny was, in light of the sudden explosions that began around three minutes ago. The Pirate-King was wasting no time at all and, randomly, stopped to look at something. Moments later, he grabbed Sanji and Zoro, then stretched his arms out, until they were taut; the other two struggled, but in vain, and Luffy let go of the tree and sailed over most of the forest, soaring through the sky with the swordsman and chef clutched in his rubber arms. They hit the ground with a crash and landed in a pile; Zoro's katanas were in amongst the mix, as well as Luffy's arms, which hadn't stretched back yet, and then he sat up and rubbed his head.

'Hmmm... are we here?'

'Idiot! You almost killed us. Why do always do that, even after we've told you so many times to stop invading our personal space??!!' Zoro yelled at Luffy, who just stared around, then looked back, a stupid-looking grin on his face.

'Whoops. I heard explosion... hey!' Luffy stopped, as something exploded, not too far away. They all suddenly looked over at the last ring of trees and realised that it was where the explosions were coming from; at least, somewhere in that vicinity. Urgency stopped the argument and ensured a sudden scrambling of the legs, in towards the direction of the sounds. When they brushed through the trees, they came to the beach, but the shores were ablaze, as pirates and marines fought each other wildly, each side trying to devastate and eliminate the other. Luffy cried out in joy, then ran at the nearest bunch of people fighting.

'Oy, Luffy!!! Come back, you moron!!!' Zoro and Sanji yelled at the same time, then, seeing as there was no acknowledgement, whatsoever, they ran after him, knocking marines, and pirates alike, aside. Luffy finally stopped, staring at something, with a serious look finally come to his face.

'It's him. You see, Zoro? On the deck of that boat there... HE'S THE ONE THAT KILLED ACE!'

They looked at each other and groaned. 'Never mind that for now, Luffy. We have to get back to the Sunny.' Sanji snapped.

'Don't try and stop me. I'll defeat him and destroy the Navy! I'll make sure that Ace's death is avenged.'

-Thousand Sunny, current time-

'Hurry up, Franky! Luffy's probably already in trouble... you know how he gets when there's a fight to be had, especially with the Navy. It looks like they've gone all out, this time. Did you see how many ships they had? We need to hide the Sunny, then find Luffy on the beach, or somewhere near that battle.'

Nami glared at Franky, her hands on her hips. Franky was tinkering around with one of his inventions and looking frustrated. 'SUPER. This is frustrating. I need to get this working before we can do anything. Someone else can steer the Sunny, while I do this, and find a good hiding spot, but somewhere that is still close to the fighting. I won't be too long.'

Nami sighed, giving up for once. 'Fine. I'll go make Usopp do it. We'll find a good spot to hide, then get to land. Then, we can go find Luffy.'

-Aboard the Fleet Admiral's Ship-

'Issho! I need you to find that swordsman and capture him, or kill him if need be. The same goes for you, Borsalino. You will capture 'Black Leg' Sanji, or destroy him. I'm going to go and find Straw Hat... he won't escape my justice this time. Now, get going!' Fleet-Admiral Sakazuki 'Akainu' growled at the two others inside his cabin, which was more like an office.

'Didn't you see him out there?' 'Kizaru' Borsalino asked, nodding to the outside.

'Of course. I know where he is now. What a fool Straw Hat is... he may be the Pirate-King, but he will die by my hand, or be executed like Gol D. Roger. Now, go!'

'How do you know he's the Pirate King, sir? Maybe he didn't find One Piece...' Borsalino said.

'If we know anything about Straw Hat at all, it's that he has extra determination to become the Pirate-King... since he's here, we can assume that he found it. He wouldn't be here, otherwise... he would have stayed where he was until he found it, even if it took him days, or weeks.'

Sakazuki strolled out of the room, Fujitora and Borsalino following. At this current point, Ryokugyu was nowhere to be seen, so Sakazuki assumed he had already disappeared onto the battlefield.

-Luffy, Sanji and Zoro-

'He disappeared! HEY, WHERE DID YOU GO??!!' Luffy literally yelled at the top of his lungs. Eyes were on him now, because the majority of the marines recognised him by the Straw Hat and began to yell things like 'Straw Hat!' and 'capture him!'. Luffy moved faster than them, however, and knocked most of them back with a well-placed Whip. 'Gomu Gomu No... Muchi!'

Suddenly, the marines parted, as they recognised their Fleet Admiral; since none of them wanted to get in his way, they scurried aside like insects and stood at attention.

'Find Straw Hat's comrades and take them captive, or, if they refuse to be captured, then just kill them all. I only want Straw Hat and the other two alive, if it can helped – the three of them will be executed together, in public... at Loguetown... just like with Gol D. Roger. Go, men!'

Sakazuki slowly approached Luffy, a steeled look in his eyes and resolve pouring from him. 'Monkey D. Luffy... I am going to capture you and have you publicly executed. If you resist, I will have no option, but to kill you. In fact, I cannot wait to see you die, you pirate scum!'

Luffy stood firm, a furious look on his face and a vein sticking out on his forehead. 'You! You killed Ace! I'll make you pay for that. I'll kick your ass!!! Gear Second!'

'It's no use, Straw Hat. You're just a lowly Paramecia-type... you can't possibly hope to defeat a Logia-user like me. You're going to be executed, whether it is here, or at Loguetown, just like the former Pirate-King. Let me explain something to a simpleton like you. You are a pirate – the scum of the world. Everything you do is a threat to normal society. You cause chaos, where there should be none. By getting rid of you, I am doing the whole world a favor. Pirates exist to make life difficult for others and to be made examples.'

'I don't care about that crap! I have nakama that I want to be with. I won't let you stand in the way of that. I already told you... I'm going to kick your ass! Busoshoku Kouka!'

The Busoshoku Haki (Armament Haki) appeared around both of his arms and he disappeared, his speed being superior to that of Sakazuki. However, the Fleet Admiral was no fool and began to form his body into the magma of the Magu Magu No Mi (Magma fruit).

'Kazan!' ('Volcano') From the ground came a massive influx of magma, forming in a cone-shape, just like a regular volcano, which began to spew it everywhere, just like lava. Luffy flashed between his physical form and the high-speed of his Second Gear, avoiding every drop of magma and the initial burst of the superheated rock. He appeared in front of Sakazuki and used one of his signature attacks.

'Gomu Gomu No Jet Pistol!'


-Zoro and Sanji-

Zoro and Sanji were competing against each other, to see who could defeat more of the marines than the other.

'Damn marimo!'

'Shitty cook!'

They both yelled insults at each other, while defeating many of the marines around them. Then, they stopped, as a familiar two men stepped in front of them. Both were wearing the Admirals cloaks – one with a yellow-striped suit underneath and the other with a purple yukata underneath. Issho and Borsalino had finally come to the party.

'Pirate Hunter Zoro and Black Leg Sanji. You two will be detained and taken away, to face execution, along with the Pirate-King. If you resist, you will incur harm, or death. You should give yourselves up now and make it easier on yourselves.'

'Like hell!' Zoro drew all three katanas, putting one in his mouth and ran at Fujitora, the two in his hand at the ready. Fujitora drew his cane-sword and blocked a fierce attack from the first two katanas, then another sweeping attack from Zoro's third katana.

Meanwhile, Sanji faced off against Borsalino. Remembering the light-speed movement, light-based kicks and his intangible body, Sanji was naturally on guard and careful to make sure not to take this man lightly. Borsalino didn't make a move, however, so Sanji made his own, using his natural speed to launch a first attack at the Admiral.

'Party Table Kick Course!' Sanji yelled, launching himself to the ground and kicking upwards at the Admiral. Borsalino vanished in the blink of an eyes, utilising his light-speed technique and avoided the attack completely and leaving Sanji off guard. In another blink of the eye, Borsalino reappeared and used one of his light-speed kicks to boot Sanji at the ground, leaving him in a daze, while he picked himself up.

'Damn you! Diablo Jambe!' Sanji revolved his leg at high speeds until it was superheated and then used Geppou to kick the air and launch another attack at Borsalino. With the other leg, he hardened it, using Busoshoku Haki and managed to catch Borsalino off guard. The Haki allowed him to hit the intangible body of the Admiral and he was now launched into the ground.

In the distance, Zoro was still testing his swordplay against Admiral Fujitora, who was proving to be a tough opponent, but at the same level as Zoro, at least, in terms of swordsmanship. His Kenbunshoku Haki (Observation Haki) also matched up to that of the Admiral's, so that no attacks seemed to touch anything other than their respective blades.

'Your swordsmanship is certainly formidable, Roronoa Zoro. It is said that you even defeated Hawkeye Mihawk in a battle. If I keep fighting you like this, eventually you'll outpower me. I can't let that happen... despite how I feel about you pirates, I have a job to do, which is to detain you. If I can't beat you like this, then I'll show you my true power.'

'To manipulate gravity? That can't defeat me... I already know that move – I've seen it before... at Dressrosa. I won't allow myself to be beaten by you. Now that he has obtained One Piece, I am known as the world's greatest swordsman... I won't allow that title to be taken from me.'

'You will see for yourself, Roronoa Zoro.'

Fujitora stopped and lifted his canesword. Then, he let off a curious aura, or soundwave, and let it rise into the air, before it disappeared momentarily. Zoro snorted and lifted his blade, preparing for his next attack. Then, a shadow appeared – a massive one. Zoro looked up, just as a meteorite appeared above him, at some ridiculous speed, but it was too late and it struck the area around him. Though he was hit, his Haki allowed him to escape relatively unscathed. Despite that, he was shaken up. Meteorite? What the hell? Where did it even come from?

'This is my true power. I can use gravity to pull meteorites out of the sky and fire them at my target. Compared to that, your power is simply not enough.'

-Luffy Vs. Sakazuki-

'Meigou!' ('Dark Dog') Sakazuki snarled and his entire arm glowed a fiery red-orange, then he punched at Luffy, hitting him directly in the stomach. Luffy grinned, as his stomach revealed the shiny black of the Busoshoku Haki, which protected him from harm. 'That won't work on me. My Haki got a lot stronger while I was on my adventures. Gomu Gomu No Jet Gatling Gun!' His arms turned black from his Haki and the barrage of fists struck Sakazuki, sending him flying backwards and devastating some of his men. Hurriedly, the marines surrounded their Fleet Admiral and the Pirate-King, blocking them in. Luffy stopped, then let off a heart-shaking aura of dominance and intimidation. The marines, thousands of them, dropped to the ground instantly, unable to stand the power of his Haki. Yes, the Haoshoku Haki ('Conquering King's Haki').

-Time skip, 3 days later-

Despite the furious fighting, they had all been defeated. Sakazuki had all but killed Luffy, plunging his magma arm through the Pirate-King's body, almost killing him and certainly stopping the fight. Although Straw Hat's nakama showed up, they were also captured and sent to Impel Down, where they would rot their lives away. However, the big three were awaiting trial in Level 6 of Impel Down and, in fact, were already at Loguetown, waiting for their execution. Luffy was weak, but still spirited, not allowing anything to dampen his happiness at having found One Piece. The fact that he was gonna die, well, that barely even fazed him at all. The other two were unhappy, being of higher intelligence than Luffy, but they understood that there was nothing to stop the execution of the three of them and that they might as well hold their heads high and never lose spirit, even in the face of death.

'It is time. You will all take your places at the execution stand. It has specially modified to hold all three of you and six executioners have been appointed to do the deed. Now, pirate scum, let's go!' the marine booted each of them, then dragged them up roughly. They were escorted, with a whole contingency of marine soldiers, lead by Admiral Borsalino, for security, in order to make sure that none of them tried to escape. Fleet Admiral Sakazuki was standing by, along with Admirals Fujitora and Ryokugyu. Even the Vice Admirals, including Garp the Hero, were standing by, in case the allies of the Straw Hats showed up set them free. When they reached the execution stand, in addition to their kairouseki (sea tone) handcuffs, they were then locked with the typical execution-style wooden brace around their arms and over their neck, so they were bent over. Then, finally, the six executioners followed on. They took their places, with their bladed spears ready to do the deed.

'STOP!' someone in the crowd yelled loudly and the marine soldiers on guard all dropped to the ground, stunned from the powerful Haoshoku Haki. A man stepped into view, a man with red hair, one arm and a sword clutched in that arm.

'Red Hair... you will not stop this execution. I will make sure of it. Executioners', carry on!' then Sakazuki ran to engage Shanks and keep him from freeing the Pirate-King.

In the distance, the six swords swung down and heads rolled to the ground. The execution had been carried out.

'LUFFFFYYYYY!!!' Shanks screamed, a heart-rending scream that shook the crowd of people that were watching. Sakazuki stood back, a satisfied gleam in his eyes. Shanks dropped to his knees, tears suddenly pouring from his eyes. All he could think of, was the boy Luffy once was, before and after he foolishly ate the Gomu Gomu No Mi (Rubber fruit). He remembered the day Luffy ate that damn thing. He remembered the day that Luffy stood up to the bandits, just for ridiculing Shanks and his crew. He remembered the day he sacrificed his arm to save Luffy. And, he remembered the day when Luffy made his vow he'd become a pirate and eventually become the Pirate-King. Though he had done exactly that, it had cost him his life.

'Curse you, SAKAZUKI!' Shanks yelled and fortified his sword with Haki, then cut into the man's chest. Before the Fleet-Admiral could move again, Shanks stabbed him right through the heart, causing him to collapse to the ground.

'That's for Luffy... you heartless brute. Your justice always required pain and suffering, didn't it? You always revelled in hurting others, even if they were your own soldiers. The day that I stopped the War of the Best... you were about to strike down one of your men. You are nothing but a misguided fool, who doesn't understand the meaning of true justice. This is your comeuppance.'
