It was a dark, quiet night, more than perfectly pitch-black above the city. The dazzle of neon signs and LEDs flashing to near seizure-inducing. Signs like the golden arches of a "McDonald's" or the orange and white striped slanted rooftops of a "Whataburger", or better yet, "King Dewey's Dugout". Commercialism and fattening hundred-dollar-cigar-rolling business seemed to dominate this big stinkin' city. However, it was much more than that.
