**The Funeral of Hearts**
**The day following Sam's "intervention" was much better. Though the rain continued to pour from the sky and the day was dark, I had convinced Sam that he was no freak indeed. He was winning his battle againest his demonic crave for blood and we were finally going to be a some-what normal family.
Sam and Dean had left to Bobby's for the day, (after vowing to be home by sundown,)and I was left alone with the twins for the day. I had our infant son on one hip and our infant daughter on the other, as I went to answer the door. "Yes?"
A large, shiny badge was suddenly projected into my face; I blinked in shock. "Ma'am, I'm Officer Green with the county police and...."
"Whoah, whoah, whoah, hold the phone. I haven't done anything..and my fiancee isn't home right now. So..." I fired off, panic already setting in.
"MA'AM, I'M OFFICER GREEN WITH THE COUNTY POLICE," His voice rose then he lowered it, "And we have a search warrant to search your home."
I didn't get it; neither Sam nor I did drugs or anything else illegal for that matter and I didn't understand why they were searching MY home.
But I remained calm. "Oh, okay. Uh, come on in," I motioned as they came through the door behind me. I wasn't like most mommy's; the entire time the police were there, I remained quiet and respectful...I even offered them coffee. I put the kids down to nap as they finished up, "Thank you, miss," They said, tipping their hats as they left.
I felt my heart slow down from its speeding pace as I watched them pull out of the driveway; they hadn't found a thing obviously that was illegal nor evidental; That was all that mattered.
I dialed Sam's cell number almost simutaniously and he picked up after one ring. "Hello?"
"Sam, I love you."
"I love you...is something wrong?" He replied. "We were searched Sam..I don't understand.." I sighed into the phone. A silence arose. "Hmm, that's strange. Eh, don't worry about it. Dean and I are coming home.." That's all he had to say...
