**The Funeral of Hearts prt. 3**
**When I finally woke up, I was sore all over and in a hospital bed with IVs in my arms. With a couple soft blinks, my eyes focused and was met by Dean, tearing away at my pudding cup. "Dean?" I whispered, clearing my throat. "Sam! Sam! She's awake. She's awake, Sam!" Dean called out, loud enough to echo into the hallway. Sam trotted in and peered around the corner, a smile slowly creeping on his face. "Hey," he said, "How you feeling?"
"Decent, I guess," I pulled up my gown enough to see the damage of the wound, "It's just now I have an extra hole." They both laughed, releved that at least I still had my sense of humor, if anything at all. Sam came to my bedside, taking my hand softly as I looked over and into those gorgegous eyes. "Honey," he sighed, "Who did this to you?"
I sighed, looking out the window; The day was beautiful, it hadn't been that in days. Birds soared, singing their melodies as they took into flight; The sky was baby blue and not a cloud in sight. These sights made me happy.
I had a choice on whether I should tell Sam the truth or not, being that I had my suspisions that Officer Green was actually Ruby, whom had been trying to sabotage our relationship from the get-go. The problem was that Sam and Ruby WERE friends at one point, but I thought that had come to a stop, er, according to Sam it did.
My eyes searched his face as he awaited a reply, smiling down at me. "Sam.." I begun then turned to Dean, "Dean..I, I, really don't know how to say this but.."
"Just tell us who it was," Dean said as he squatted down beside me on the other side; I was suddenly cornered by the Winchesters. "Guys, I don't think Officer Green was actually Officer Green.."
"Then who was he?"
"Officer Green came back later after I called you. But..it was..it was Ruby.." I sighed, my blood pressure machine beeping as it began to raise, "I'm sorry." Tears streamed down my cheek as the mascara started to get clumpy and bulid up on my eyelashes. Sam looked at Dean in denial and Dean turned his attention to me, avoiding his brother's eye contact. "Please, don't get upset. You need to rest..you've done your part." He said, patting my arm. I nodded and laid my head to the pillow, turning away as I cried to myself.
"Come on Sam, let her rest awhile..she needs it."
**** Sam smashed his fists to the wall as they occupied themselves to the waiting room, Dean putting his hand on his shoulder. "Sam.."
"If you're gonna tell me how to feel, I don't want to hear it!" Sam yelled, repeatidly hitting his fists to the wall. "You're in a hospital, Sam. Act like it." Dean growled, "Besides, we have a demon to send back to Hell."
Sam was shamed into acting like an adult by his older brother, so he stopped bashing the wall and turned to Dean, tears rolling down his chiseled cheekbones. "Let me kill her..she almost took a fiancee, a mother, and a friend away from us. Let me kill her, Dean."
"If you're gonna tell me how to feel, I don't want to hear it!"
