Michael Jackson's llama wrecked Freddie Mercury's dreams of recording a hit duet with the King of Pop - because the QUEEN star didn't like working in a studio with an overgrown pet.
The tragic Bohemian Rhapsody singer made a friend of Jackson in the early 1980s and the two superstars plotted to work together, but things hit a snag when the Thriller hitmaker insisted on showing up to work with his llama.
In a new Dvd expose of Mercury's solo career, the late star's manager Jim 'Miami' Beach says, "They got on well except for the fact that I suddenly got a call from Freddie, saying, 'Miami, dear,...
Here are some of my favorite Freddie Mercury quotes! I hope you like them too!
•Listen, if you guys wanna move around and shift your assess a little, that's okay by us. You can take all your clothes off if you like, too. It doesn't matter. . . Fuck off!
•I always knew I was a star , and now the rest of the world seems to agree with me.
•Gay as a daffodil.
•Hello everybody! Hey hey hey! Okay! You know, it's not always we do shows in the daytime and I fucking wish we'd done it before. I can see you all now! And we have some real beauties here I can tell you!
Twenty years after the death of rock’s most famous singer, and with a lavish book of rare photographs about to be published, his mother, Jer Bulsara, talks to Angela Levin about how she coped with his transformation from Farrokh Bulsara to Freddie Mercury.
Freddie Mercury’s mother was watching the Olympic closing ceremony when her adored son’s image suddenly appeared on a vast screen. “I cried out: 'Oh my dear boy, where are you?’” she tells me. “I miss him so much.” A cheeky smile then spreads across her face. “They showed John Lennon too, but there was much more applause...
Queen's Freddie Mercury Shopping For An Image In London by Scott Cohen
More than anything else, Freddie Mercury wants to be a legend. The vehicle for the 28 year-old "Kensington poseur" is a rock'n'roll band called Queen, and the meticolous Mercury seems to have the situation neatly in hand. He came up with the band's name, he designed their crest (combining the star signs of its members), and he defines their style.
"The concept of Queen is to be regal and majestic," he told the English press early in their career. "Glamour is a part of us and we want to be dandy. We want to shock and be outrageously...
I’ve been robbed! This tall, slim man with mesmerizing chocolate brown eyes, beautiful black hair, and adorable buck teeth has robbed me! He stole something from me. He stole my heart and took my breath away. Where do I begin? I love his hair. I wish I could touch it and stroke it. His eyes are beautiful and when I stare into them, I just can’t look away. He has a voice like no other. His voice is so awesome. He has 4 extra teeth, it makes him have better vocal range, but, not just that, another thing about his teeth is that they’re adorable, they are just so cute! In Freddie’s school...
Both Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson posed for photos wearing a crown and the traditional clothes associated with a King.
Michael Jackson released a single called 'State Of Shock' (1984) which appeared on the Jacksons 'Victory' album (1984). Jackson first began working on this duet with Freddie Mercury but in the end Mick Jagger appeared on the final version. Jackson and Mercury also worked on two more songs 'There Must Be More To Life Than This' and 'Victory' but did not finish them.
Both performers have had a statue created in their likeness. Michael Jackson...
The first time I met Michael Jackson was backstage at The Forum in Los Angeles in early July 1980. He was at the QUEEN show that evening and came to see the band afterwards. He spent time with John Deacon and they talked about ‘Another One Bites the Dust’ which Michael says must be a single. He also spent time with Freddie. He was 22 years old and was like an excited teenager. He had really enjoyed the show and was still ‘up’ from it.
The next time was a couple of years later when Freddie had been invited to Michael’s house in Encino, just north of Hollywood. We arrived at the house,...
Freddie Mercury was an amazing singer. He had the best voice of all voices in history. If there were all the best singers in history in one place and I had to choose one winner, I would choose Freddie as #1. Freddie had a hard life, he had Paul Prenter stand in his way and he had AIDS. Freddie tried really hard to fight against AIDS and sadly, he lost. I miss Freddie so much. 20 years after Freddie’s death, Brian May and Roger Taylor weren’t ready to quit yet, so they hired a new lead singer, Adam Lambert. Lambert had a good voice, but, it just can’t replace Freddie’s. John Deacon wasn’t...
I was in the mood to write an article and could not find a better subject than my absolute favorite singer Freddie Mercury. I tried to choose the best words to describe this very special human being and find out it wasn’t that easy to do just that. But you can tell me if I succeeded or not. In my opinion Freddie is:
Fabulous, fearless Rock god Exquisite, elegant Dynamite, dynamic Delightful Incredibly brave Entertainer of the universe
Musical genius Everlasting like the sun Real inspiration for the world Contagious personality (in a good way) Unique voice, unbelievably...
“There's another unseen interview from 1985 filmed on set of 'I Was Born To Love You'. Very funny, Freddie tells us how Queen were in a lift when they found out they were no.1 with Bohemian Rhapsody, jumped for joy and the lift stopped. 'We thought we'd all suffocate in the damned lift.'
Eagle Rock Entertainment are proud to announce the release on 24 September 2012 of the Freddie Mercury DVD and Blu-ray, “The Great Pretender” [Cat Nos EREDV949 and ERBRD5163 respectively].
Created by the same team behind last year’s widely acclaimed “Queen: Days of Our Lives” BBC documentary, “The...

I am writing this article to ask the opinion as to whether an interior design concept that I have developed, would provide enough interest from fans, for me to consider moving on to the production stage.
Despite there being a wide range of memorabilia that is being marketed to fans of celebrities; from the cheap and tacky, to the outrageously expensive, I believe that I have developed not only a niche product, but also one that is truly unique, and most importantly one that provides value for money.
Before I go on to explain what it is, I need to give you some background information.
